Yahuang Township
Yahuang township is located in the west of Shengzhou, 26 kilometers away from the urban area, close to Shihuang town in the northeast, Tongyuan Township in the South and Zhuji City in the West. Yahuang township is located in the northwest end of Shengzhou City, with 4 administrative villages and a population of 3157 (2017). In 2007, it was successfully established as "health township of Shaoxing City". Yahuang township is named after Yahuang, where the township government is located.
In July 2019, Yahuang township will be abolished, and its area is now under the
Shihuang town
.
Historical evolution
According to the genealogy of Qiu family, the ancestors of Wang family settled in the Wang family (Xianghua) and separated here in 1611. Because it is located under the royal family, it is named Xiawang. Later, the Wang family disappeared, followed by the Qiu family, so it became the present name. At the beginning of liberation, it belonged to shun'er township. In 1950, it was divided into xujiapei township. In March 1956, it merged with Zhuxi Township and was called XuXi township. In October 1958, it was the XuXi administrative area of Beishan people's commune. In November 1961, Yahuang and Zhuxi people's communes were established on the basis of xujiapei Township and Zhuxi township. Yahuang township was changed in October 1983, and xuanjiagang, xujiapei, Gecun, Meixi, Fangtan and other villages were included in Zhenji Township in March 1984. It has jurisdiction over 11 administrative villages: Yahuang village, Xianghua village, Daixi village, Jiaokeng village, Chuanwu village, Dongwan village, CHANGKENG village, Houxi village, Yanshan village, shangzhitou village and xiazhitou village. The government is located in Yahuang village. The township government is located in Yahuang village. In 2007, Yahuang Township changed from 11 administrative villages to 4 administrative villages. Yahuang Village: it is composed of original Yahuang village, Houxi village, shipyard village, Xianghua village and Dongwan village. A total of 736 households, 1914 population, a total area of 13.94 square kilometers, the village committee in the original Yahuang village. 2. Daixi Village: it is composed of the original Daixi village, Yanshan village, Shangzhi village and Xiazhi village. A total of 424 households, 1094 population, a total area of 6.88 square kilometers, the village committee in the original Daixi village. 3. The scale and name of CHANGKENG village and Jiaokeng village remain unchanged. 28.37 square kilometers (2017), 3157 people (2017).

Yahuang village of Yahuang township is located in the western mountainous area of Shengzhou City, adjacent to Zhuji City. It is the seat of Yahuang township government. At the end of 2007, there were 797 households with a total population of 1914, including 1138 labor force. At present, there are 1501.50 mu of cultivated land, 3817 mu of tea garden, 20610 mu of bamboo forest and 545 mu of Torreya grandis. In 2007, the total rural economic income of the whole village was 31.3426 million yuan, and the per capita net income of farmers was 6220 yuan.

In 2003, it was awarded as Shaoxing Municipal popular science village, in 2004 as Shaoxing Municipal Ecological Village, and in 2006 as Shaoxing Municipal Health Village; in the "five competition" pairing competition for the development of private economy in Shengzhou, it won the third prize in 2003 and the second prize in 2004; from 2003 to 2006, it was awarded as "advanced party organization" by Shengzhou municipal Party Committee for four consecutive years, and it was also awarded as Shaoxing Municipal Health Village in 2006 "Five good" grassroots party organizations. In January 2006, Shengzhou City and Shaoxing City successively named the "comprehensive well-off construction model village", and at the end of 2006, they successfully strive to become the provincial "comprehensive well-off model village".
