Dushangang town
Dushangang town belongs to Pinghu City, Jiaxing City, Zhejiang Province. It is located on the southeast coast of Pinghu City. It is adjacent to Jinshan (petrochemical) of Shanghai in the East, Hangzhou Bay in the south, Zhapu and LindaI towns in the west, Guangchen and Xincang towns in the north, 110km from Hangzhou City in the west, 80km from Shanghai City in the East and 28km from Pinghu City in the West. Dushangang town has a total area of 102.43 square kilometers (2017), under the jurisdiction of 22 administrative villages and 3 communities, with 104309 people (2017). In 2014, the town's GDP reached 5.51 billion yuan.
Dushangang town has a subtropical monsoon climate, with flat and open terrain. It has a unified system with "dushangang Economic Development Zone". The port area is an integral part of Jiaxing Port Area, a national first-class open port.
In October 2019, dushangang town was selected as one of the "Top 1000 towns with comprehensive strength in China in 2019".
Historical evolution
Quantang town
In the Ming and Qing Dynasties, the whole Tang area belonged to Wuyuan township.
In 1930, it was rebuilt into two towns and four townships. In 1947, it was built into Quanping town and Sanya township.
In 1950, it was built into three townships, quantang, Jinsha and Jianquan.
In January 1956, the whole county was merged into quantang township.
In October 1958, the Management Committee of quantang people's commune was established.
In September 1983, the government and society were separated and the township system was restored. Quantang people's commune was renamed quantang people's government.
In June 1985, the township was removed to build a town, named quantang town.
After the establishment of Dushan Port Area in April 2005, the port area management committee and the town people's government worked together.
Huanggu town
During the Ming and Qing Dynasties, Huanggu belonged to the eastern area of the 20th capital and the western area of the 19th capital of Qijing township.
In 1935, dahuanggu township was established (because huanggutang runs through the whole territory from east to west, its name has always been "Huanggu"), Xiaoying Township, Chujing Township, Zhaoxin Township and Zhouguan township.
In 1946, Huanggu town and zhoujing town were established.
In March 1950, it was a part of Huanggu Township, ferry Township, Hanmiao Township, Zhouwei Township, Fuxing Township and Xiushui township.
In March 1956, most of Huanggu Township, Xiushui Township, ferry Township and two villages of Hanmiao Township were merged into Huanggu township; most of Zhouwei Township, Fuxing Township and Hanmiao Township were merged into co construction Township.
In October 1958, Huanggu people's Commune and Jianshe Township were established respectively and then merged into Xudai commune.
In March 1961, co construction was separated from Xudai commune to establish co construction people's commune.
In September 1983, the government and society were separated and the system of Huanggu township was restored.
In June 1985, Huanggu town was established as Huanggu town.
In July 1999, the co construction Township was abolished and merged into Huanggu town.
Merging towns
On December 18, 2009, with the approval of Zhejiang Provincial People's government, the original system of quantang and Huanggu towns was abolished, and dushangang town was newly established, which operated in accordance with the management system of "district town integration and district oriented".
