Yanpu town

Yanpu town is a town under the jurisdiction of Cangnan County, Wenzhou City, Zhejiang Province. It is 62 kilometers away from Cangnan County, bordering Chenghai in the East, Pugang in the south, Fuding City and Pucheng Township in the West and Mazhan town in the north. The land area is 36.41 square kilometers (2017), and the coastline is 25 kilometers long. Historical evolution

In 1932, Yanpu township was built. After the founding of the people's Republic of China, Yanpu Township and Yunting Township were established in June 1950. In June 1952, two townships of Fusen and Lingwei were added. In March 1956, Fushen and Lingwei townships were abolished. In October 1961, it was renamed Yanpu people's commune. In May 1992, Yunting township was merged into Yanpu township. In 1993, Yanpu township was changed into Yanpu town.
