Dayin Town, a town under the jurisdiction of Yuyao City, Ningbo City, Zhejiang Province, is located in the northern foot of the east of Siming City, at the junction of Yuyao and Yinzhou. It borders Qiyang in the East, Cheshi in the west, Siming in the South and Shunshui in the north. It is 17 km away from Ningbo City and 34 km away from Yuyao.

Dayin town is a cultural ancient town with a history of more than 2500 years. The cultivated land area is 4884 mu, and the mountain forest area is 36000 mu.
Shuangxikou reservoir, a first-class drinking water protection area, has a catchment area of 40.01 square kilometers and can provide 33.7 million cubic meters of high-quality water. Historical evolution
Dayin town is located in the east of Yuyao City, bounded by shuangao village, jiangdai village, Gaoqiao Town, Yinzhou in the East, Shiling village, Jiesheng village, Hengjie Town, Yinzhou in the south, Daping village, yubaochen village, Hemudu village, Lubu town in the west, Yaojiang River in the north and Zhapu Township, Jiangbei District across the river. It has a total area of 30.8 square kilometers and a permanent population of more than 9000.
In the Western Han Dynasty, Xia Huanggong, one of the four haos in Shangshan, once lived in seclusion here, so he was named Dayin.
Dayin has a long history. Dating back to the Neolithic Age 7000 years ago, the ancestors lived and worked here, which is the continuation of Hemudu culture. In the spring and Autumn period, Dayin was under the jurisdiction of Yue State. In 472 B.C., King Gou Jian of Yue built a city and set up a harbor in the mountains of the city after he destroyed the state of Wu, and named it Ju Zhang. When the state of Chu destroyed the state of Yue, Dayin was the state of Chu. Qin destroyed the six countries, implemented the system of prefectures and counties, and began to build jurzhang County, which belongs to Kuaiji county. Chengshan is still the seat of jurzhang county. After the Han Dynasty, the Three Kingdoms, the Western Jin Dynasty unchanged. Only in the Eastern Han Dynasty, chengshancheng was once the eastern capital of Kuaiji Prefecture. In the fourth year of Long'an in the Eastern Jin Dynasty (400), due to the sun en uprising army's attack on Chengshan City, the county government of jurzhang was moved from Chengshan to Xiaoxi (now Yinzhou Yinjiang bridge). In the 26th year of Kaiyuan (738) of Tang Dynasty, Qi Han, an interview envoy, played the role of changing Fuxian County into Mingzhou. Fuxian county was divided into four counties: Cixi, Fenghua, wengshan and Fuxian county. This was the beginning of the establishment of Cixi County. Dayin belongs to Cixi County. In the first year of Tang Tianbao (742), Mingzhou was changed to Yuyao County, and in the first year of Qianyuan (758), Mingzhou was changed again, and the Dayin calendar belonged to Cixi County. In the Five Dynasties, Cixi County, where Da Yin belonged, was subordinate to the Ming state of Wu and Yue. In 978, the state of Wu and Yue returned to the Song Dynasty. Cixi County belonged to the Fengguo army of Mingzhou in liangzhelu, and Dayin still belonged to Cixi County. In November of the fifth year of Xining in the Southern Song Dynasty (1194), Mingzhou was upgraded to Qingyuan Prefecture, and Cixi County belonged to Qingyuan Prefecture. Dayin is located in Guyu village, and Shitai township is under the jurisdiction of wangjiangli, xiaoshunli, Guyu village and Guangde village, belonging to Cixi County. During the reign of Yanyou of Yuan Dynasty, Shitai township was in charge of six capitals from the fourteenth to the nineteenth capitals. Dayin was in charge of fourteen capitals and fifteen capitals (Shiyan). During the reign of the Yuan Dynasty, Shitai Township governed 98 communities. In 1367, the 27th year of the reign of emperor Zhizheng of the Yuan Dynasty (1367), that is, the first year of Wu, Emperor Taizu, Zhu Yuanzhang descended to Fang Guozhen and changed Qingyuan Road to Mingzhou Prefecture. In 1381, the state capital of Ming Dynasty was changed to Ningbo Prefecture, which was subordinate to the Chief Secretary of Zhejiang Province. Cixi County belonged to Ningbo Prefecture, and Dayin belonged to Cixi County. In the Ming Dynasty, Shitai Township set up 14 capitals to 19 capitals, with a total of 42 pictures of six capitals. Dayin was the 14 capitals. In the Qing Dynasty, Ningbo Prefecture belonged to ningshaotai Road, Cixi County belonged to Ningbo Prefecture, and Dayin still belonged to Cixi County. In 1912, the government system was abolished and Cixi County was directly under the military government of Zhejiang Province. At that time, there were four townships in the Southern District: Lubu Town, Dayin Township, Chepeng Township and Cinan township. In June 1948, the land port district office was re established. In the spring of the next year, Siming county was planned to be built in Siming Mountain area, all of Nanshan Township in Cixi County, and some villages such as Dayin, jiushiyan, Sanguo and Qiyang were assigned to Siming county. Because Siming Mountain area is the base of the New Fourth Army in eastern Zhejiang, and it is near liberation, Siming county has no real name.
In the early days of the founding of the people's Republic of China, the situation was the same as that of the Republic of China.
In October 1949, Cixi County was under the Ningbo Commissioner's office, while Dayin was still under Cixi County. In May 1950, the administrative region was adjusted to divide Dayin into three townships: Dayin, Qiyang and yuanshiyan. In October 1954, the county boundaries were adjusted. The cotton planting division of Yaobei was given to Cixi County. The rice planting area of Yaodong was assigned to Yuyao county. Dayin Township, Qiyang Township, Shiyan Township and Hemu Township were under the jurisdiction of Yuyao county and Lubu district. In April 1956, the four townships of Dayin, Shiyan, Qiyang and Hemu were merged into Dayin township. In December of the same year, Hemu village, Fengjia village, taojia village and Xujia village in Hemu Township were assigned to Chepeng township. In 1958, eleven agricultural production cooperatives (i.e. villages) in Qiyang, Qishan, Xuguang, Shanqian, Xingguang, mingle, Wuyi, Lianhe and Jiesheng, Gaosheng, Wuxing of the former Qiyang and Shiyan townships were assigned to Yin county. At this time, the Dayin area was the first and second brigades of Lubu people's commune, under which there was a company platoon organization. By March 1959, the two brigades were merged and renamed Dayin management area, which was subordinate to Lubu people's commune. In May 1961, the organizational system of the district was restored, and the Dayin Management District was rebuilt into Dayin commune, which was subordinate to Lubu district.
