Yuelong Street
Yuelong street is located in the south of the center of Ninghai County, Ningbo City, Zhejiang Province. It is named after Yuelong mountain. It is the seat of Ninghai County Government and the political, economic and cultural center of the whole county. It is adjacent to Yuexi Township in the East, a town in the south, Qiantong town in the southwest, Huangtan town in the west, Meilin street and Taoyuan Street in the north, and Chayuan Township in the northeast. The area is 117.25 square kilometers, and the registered residence population is 109528, and 15 communities and 27 villagers committees are in the end of 2018. The sub district office is located at 75 Renmin Avenue.
History of construction
In ancient times, it was called kuangli. Tang Yongchang first year (689), for Ninghai County. In Ming Dynasty, the county was divided into East and West. There are 2 maps in the East and 7 maps in the West. In 1728 of the sixth year of Yongzheng reign of the Qing Dynasty, there were eight villages under the jurisdiction of the county. In 1910, the city was divided into 12 villages, including Baiqiao, Shuiche, Shishe and bailitang. In 1928, the county was divided into Chongsheng, Yihui and Zhengxue. In 1932, it was changed into Chongsheng Town, Yihui town and Zhengxue town. In 1935, the three towns were merged and named Goucheng town. In September 1949, Goucheng town was abandoned and divided into three towns: Zhongcheng, Dongcheng and Xicheng, belonging to Chengguan District. In May 1950, the three towns were withdrawn. In August, Chengguan town was established, directly under the county. In November 1958, Ninghai County was abolished and merged into Xiangshan County. Chengguan town was abolished, and its jurisdiction was under the jurisdiction of Wuxing people's commune of Xiangshan County (later renamed Ninghai people's commune). In April 1959, Xiangshan county government moved to Ninghai Chengguan. In August, Chengguan town was restored, directly under Xiangshan County. In December 1961, Ninghai County was restored, and Chengguan directly belonged to Ninghai County. In December 1988, suburban towns were merged into Chengguan town. In May 1992, Huipu Township, Zhukou Township, Xinling Township and Shuiche Township were merged into Chengguan town. In February 2001, Meilin town and Qiaotou Hu town were merged into Chengguan town. In October 2003, Chengguan town was abolished and Yuelong street was set up in the south of Shidai Avenue, shuishuiche Township and Xinling township.
