Teta

Taita, also known as Xunyi pagoda, is located in the former Xunyi middle school, Taita Road, Xunyi county. The tower is 53 meters high and covers an area of 120 square meters. It is an octagonal seven story pavilion type masonry structure. It was built in the fourth year of Jiayou (1059) of the northern Song Dynasty. The tower is hollow, with wooden stairs circling to the top, and each floor has arched door openings alternating with rectangular false doors. On both sides of each floor door, there are mullion shaped windows, and carved with water caltrop lattice and square railings. From a distance, the whole building is simple and magnificent, majestic and straight; from a close view, it is exquisitely made, dexterous and elegant.
