Zhangshan Forest Farm

Zhangshan forest farm, under the jurisdiction of Suyu District, Suqian City, Jiangsu Province, is managed by Hubin new district. It is located in the east of the middle of Hubin New District, with an area of 11.87 square kilometers (including 4.93 square kilometers of Santai mountain scenic spot). The territory of hilly areas, ups and downs, Suqian City, the highest point (73.4 meters) is located in the territory. By the end of 2019, Zhangshan forest farm has two residential communities with a population of more than 4000, and the forest farm office is located in Linxi.

Zhangshan forest farm is named for its proximity to Zhangshan. In 1958, Zhangshan forest farm was established as a state-owned forest farm. In July 1997, Zhangshan Forest Park was established with the approval of the Provincial Department of agriculture and forestry. In 2001, it was designated as a national AA scenic spot by the National Tourism Administration. In 2011, it was renamed Santai mountain forest park. The forest farm is surrounded by excellent traffic conditions, with Santaishan Avenue, national highway 235 and other roads passing through. The forest coverage of Zhangshan forest farm is more than 85.2%, forming a special scenery belt, known as "Xishuangbanna of Jiangsu". There are many historical and cultural landscapes in the territory, with rich cultural heritage, including the cultural sites of the Neolithic period and the Western Han Dynasty, and the ancient battlefield sites of Tang and Song Dynasties, such as Hanliang cave. In 2015, Santai Mountain Forest Park was designated as a national AAAA scenic spot by the National Tourism Administration.

In 1997, the provincial "Suqian Zhangshan Forest Park" was established, and its name was inscribed by general Zhang Zhen.

In 2011, Santai mountain scenic area was renamed as Santai mountain forest park.

In 2015, Santai Mountain Forest Park successfully established a national AAAA scenic spot.

Zhangshan forest farm is located in Hubin new area, 7km north of Suqian City, and the forest farm office is in the north of the area. Zhangshan forest farm is surrounded by Jingtou Township and Xiaodian Town, reaching Jingtou Township in the East and Xiaodian town in the West. It is unevenly distributed in the north and south, and borders Xiaodian town and Jingtou Township, covering an area of 11.87 square kilometers.
