Suchen town
Suchen town is a historical town, belonging to Hailing District of Taizhou city. It is located in the east gate of Taizhou. Located in the middle of the city, 13 kilometers away from the city government.
Evolution of organizational system
Su Chen commune was established in 1958, township was changed in 1983, and town was established in 1986. It belongs to Jiangyan City, Taizhou city. In 2000, Dafeng Town was abolished and merged into Suchen Town, and the town government was stationed in Suchen. After the reorganization, Suchen town covers an area of 70 square kilometers with a population of 72000, and has jurisdiction over two neighborhood committees and 50 village committees. It belongs to Jiangyan City, Taizhou city. In 2003, Shilipu and Lingdou villages in Suchen town of Jiangyan City were put under the jurisdiction of Taidong Town, Hailing District. After the adjustment of administrative divisions, Suchen town of Jiangyan City has an administrative area of 64.74 square kilometers, a population of 65000, and 25 village committees. in 2009, Suchen town of Jiangyan City (except seven administrative villages including Xicha, dongcha, Tangning, Xinglin, Junpu, sanshe and xiaofengdian) was put under the jurisdiction of Hailing District of Taizhou city. After the adjustment of administrative divisions, Suchen town covers an area of 46.28 square kilometers and has a population of 41400. It is agreed that the seven village committees of Suchen Town, including Xicha, dongcha, Tangning, Xinglin, Junpu, sanshe and xiaofengdian, will be under the jurisdiction of Jiangyan Town.

Jurisdiction: Suchen, Shuangan, Shuanghong, Xiaqi, Yuanzhuang, dafengdian, qiandou, zhangjiayuan, Baili, Zhendong, zhoudai, Xiazheng, dongshiyang, xishiyang, Xuzhuang, Beizhuang Village (community) and chaan community.
Development status
It is connected with the provincial Jiangyan Economic Development Zone in the East and Hailing District in Taizhou in the West. The total area of the town is 45.8 square kilometers (2017). The existing cultivated land is 31877.2 mu. The new and old Tongyang Canal crosses the central part, 328 National Highway and Nanjing qihar railway. The Taizhou terminal of Nanjing qihar railway is located in the north of the town.
Economics
Agriculture and breeding are the main industries. Industrial insulation materials, printing machinery, towel loom, light source electrical appliances and other factories. In 2003, the gross national product of the whole town was 406 million yuan, and the fiscal revenue was 21.28 million yuan. During the year, it was awarded the third prize of advanced agricultural technology promotion by Jiangsu Provincial People's government, and was commended by Taizhou Municipal Party committee and Taizhou Municipal government as the advanced township in the activity of "striving to create Dainan and Zhangguo style villages and towns", "creating safe villages and towns in safe Taizhou" and "supporting both" advanced villages and towns.

Suchen town has achieved gratifying results in construction. In 2007, the town invested more than 17 million yuan in construction and transformation. The 2000m long slopes on both sides of Suchen River were protected by stone arch, the river course was dredged with 36000 cubic meters of soil, and 105 illegal buildings on both sides of Tongyang road were demolished. On this basis, Suchen town highlights the construction of riverside square, market town new area, trunk road landscape and other projects. In the center of the town, a 15000 square meter Civic Square integrating entertainment, leisure and fitness has been built, and more than 260 landscape lights have been installed on the main roads.
