Erling town

Erling Town, located in the southern suburb of Danyang City, Jiangsu Province, is located in the rich Yangtze River Delta. With a history of more than 1400 years, it is one of the four ancient towns in Danyang City. The town has a total area of 83.67 square kilometers (2017) and a total population of 49129 (2017). Erling has a unique geographical location. It has a subtropical climate with four distinct seasons and pleasant climate. It is adjacent to Suzhou, Wuxi and Changzhou in the South and the center of urbanization of Nanjing, Zhenjiang and Yangzhou in the north. It has a water, land and air transportation network. It is adjacent to Changzhou Civil Aviation Airport and Pudong International Airport in the East, Nanjing Lukou Airport in the west, Dagang Port in the north, 15 kilometers away from Danyang entrance of Huning Expressway, 8 kilometers away from Huning railway, 241 provincial highway, Danxi first-class highway and DanJin licaohe River, which connects with Beijing Hangzhou ancient canal.

On July 24, 2019, erling town was selected into the list of national strong agricultural towns in 2019.
