On December 23, 2019, Sichuan Provincial People's Government approved Ganzi Prefecture to adjust the administrative divisions of some towns and townships in six counties (cities) including Kangding city (cfzm [2019] No. 25): kuido township was abolished and kuido town was established. The administrative region of kuido town was the administrative region of kuido Town, and kuido Town People's government was stationed at No. 14, group 1, Liwu village.

In December 2019, the people's Government of Sichuan Province abolished kuido Township and established kuido town. The former administrative region of kuido township is the administrative region of kuido town. The people's Government of kuido town is located at No. 14, group 1, Liwu village.
