Idiom story
In the spring and Autumn period, there were two princes in the state of Zheng. One was called song, and the other was called Zijia. One morning, when they went to court together, song's index finger suddenly moved, and he said to his son, "it seems that there will be delicious food again today. I don't know what kind of delicious food we can taste today." When the son's house was dubious, he heard the waiter say to the kitchen, "yesterday, the state of Chu sent someone to bring a big turtle. Zheng linggong ordered it to be cooked for all the civil and military officials to taste." When they heard this, they couldn't help laughing. When Zheng linggong asked them what they were so happy about, the Zi family quickly explained to Zheng linggong that song's forefinger was really effective. After hearing this, Zheng linggong also said with a smile, "if song's index finger doesn't work, you still have to pass me!" Later, when the turtle soup was distributed to the son of Song Dynasty, Zheng linggong laughed and said, "your index finger is not working this time." Unexpectedly, song went to Zheng linggong's seat, put his index finger into the cauldron, dipped it in the soup, and said, "who said my index finger doesn't work, didn't I taste the delicious food?" (this is the origin of "fingering") Zheng linggong was very angry to see that his son song dared to act so boldly in front of civil and military officials and despised the authority of the monarch. At this time, Zheng linggong was ready to kill. Later, for some reasons, Zheng linggong wanted to send someone to kill him. Unexpectedly, song first killed Zheng linggong. Prince song must not have expected that although his effective index finger made him taste delicious food, it also made him bear the evil name of regicide. Why did Prince song just "contaminate" the turtle soup in the tripod with his fingers, and Zheng linggong almost killed him? This is because the tripod is a symbol of power in the pre Qin Dynasty. Anyone who gets anything in the tripod without the permission of the king is coveting the power of the king and challenging the ruling position. Therefore, people use the term "fingering" to refer to seeking non profit. After this incident, the state of Zheng was in chaos, and the young master song was finally killed, and his body was violently killed in the dynasty.
