Yu Shan
Yu Shan? In 110 B.C., he was also Yu Shan, surnamed Ying. He was the younger brother of Ying, the king of Fujian and Yue, and the prince of the Western Han Dynasty.
In 135 BC, Ying attacked the state of Nanyue, and Nanyue was in a hurry to the Han Dynasty. Emperor Wu of Han Dynasty sent troops to attack Fujian and Vietnam. Yu Shan was afraid that the Han government would take the opportunity to destroy Fujian and Vietnam, so he launched a coup to kill Ying and apologized to the Han government. After the death of Ying, the Han Dynasty established Youjun Chou, the grandson of Wu Zhu, as the king of Yue Yao, worshipping the former king of Fujian and Yue. Yu Shan refused, so he became king. The king of Yue Yao was unable to control it, but in order to avoid the use of troops again, the Han court had to appoint Yu Shan as the king of Eastern Yue.
In 112 BC, South Vietnam rebelled against the Han Dynasty, and the Han Dynasty sent troops to fight against it. Yu Shan asked to lead 8000 troops to attack South Vietnam. Yu Shanxing stopped marching in Jieyang, took a wait-and-see attitude, and secretly contacted South Vietnam. After the Han army conquered South Vietnam, General Yang Fu asked to attack East Vietnam, but Emperor Wu did not agree.
In 111 B.C., Yu Shan learned that Yang Fu had asked for a crusade against Dongyue, so he took the initiative and sent troops to resist on the way the Han Army had to go. Life of the characters
Early experience
Yu Shan is the younger brother of Min Yue Wang Ying, who is the empress of Min Yue Wang Wu Zhu. In the third year of Jianyuan (138 BC), Emperor Wu of the Han Dynasty conspired with his brother Ying to send troops to encircle the state of Dong'ou. The king of Dong'ou appealed to the Han court for help. Emperor Wu of the Han Dynasty sent Kuaiji soldiers to rescue him. Before the Han soldiers arrived, the Min Yue army broke away. At the request of the king of Dong'ou, the Han court moved its people between the Yangtze River and the Huaihe River, and the land of Dong'ou was owned by Fujian and Vietnam.
The king of East Yue
In the sixth year of Jianyuan (135 BC), Ying sent troops to attack the state of Nanyue, and Zhao Ying, the king of Nanyue, appealed to the Han court. Emperor Wu of the Han Dynasty appointed Wang Hui and Han Anguo as generals. They led their troops to attack Fujian and Vietnam from Yuzhang (now Nanchang in Jiangxi Province) and Kuaiji (now Suzhou in Jiangsu Province). Ying divided his troops to defend xianxialing. Yu Shan took the opportunity to launch a coup against the Han army. He encouraged the powerful people of Fujian and Vietnam, saying that he sent troops to attack South Vietnam without asking for instructions from Emperor Wu of the Han Dynasty, so Emperor Wu of the Han Dynasty came to attack. There are many Han soldiers and they are powerful. Even if Fujian and Vietnam win by chance for a while, Han soldiers will continue to come and destroy the country. Now only by killing Ying and thanking Emperor Wu of the Han Dynasty can we preserve ourselves. With the consent of all the people, Yu Shan killed Ying and offered his head to Wang Hui. As the problem had been solved, the Han army withdrew to the north before it passed xianxialing. When discussing the establishment of the successor king of the Minyue Kingdom, Emperor Wu of the Han Dynasty decided that "Ying and others were the first to do evil, only Youjun Chou, the grandson of wuzhu, did not participate in the conspiracy", so he sent a doctor to make chou the successor king of the Minyue Kingdom. Yu Shan was not satisfied. Since Yu Shan killed Ying, his prestige spread throughout the country. Most of the people in the country belonged to him, so he secretly established himself as king. The king of Yue Yao was unable to control it. When Emperor Wu of the Han Dynasty learned about it, he thought it was not worth stirring up the army for Yu Shan's sake. He said: "Yu Shan conspired with Ying repeatedly, but later he killed him first, so that the Han army could avoid the hardships of war." So he made Yushan king of Dongyue and the king of Yueyao.
Please attack South Vietnam
After ruling Fujian and Vietnam, Yu Shan and the Han Dynasty were at peace for more than 20 years. In the fifth year of Yuanding (112 BC), Lv Jia, the Prime Minister of Nanyue, rebelled against the Han Dynasty, and the Han Dynasty sent troops to attack. Yu Shan volunteered and wrote to Emperor Wu of the Han Dynasty, asking to lead 8000 soldiers to attack Nanyue with General Yang Fu. However, when they arrived at Jieyang (now Jieyang, Guangdong), they used the strong wind and huge waves on the sea as an excuse to stop moving forward. They took a wait-and-see attitude and secretly sent envoys to contact South Vietnam. In the winter of the same year, the Han Army captured Panyu (today's Guangzhou, Guangdong), but the Dongyue army had not yet arrived. Yang Pu sent envoys to write to Emperor Wu of the Han Dynasty, willing to lead troops to attack Dongyue by the way. Emperor Wu of the Han Dynasty thought that the soldiers were tired, so he didn't approve Yang Fu's request. He stopped the military action and ordered all the school officers to stand by in Meiling (now Ningdu County, Jiangxi Province) of Yuzhang.
Rebel killed
In the autumn of the sixth year of Yuanding (111 B.C.), Yu Shan heard that Yang Fu had asked to attack him, and that the Han Army had already entered the East Vietnam border and was about to attack him, so he took the initiative. Yu Shan sent troops to the Han Army's only way to resist. He added the title of "general swallowing Han" to general Gu Li and others. The army entered Baisha (now Shaoxing, Zhejiang), Wulin (now Poyang, Jiangxi) and Meiling, killing three Han Army captains. Yu Shan privately engraved the seal of "Emperor Wu" and publicly rebelled against the Han Dynasty. At this point, Emperor Wu of the Han Dynasty decided to divide the army into four groups and launch a great attack. The first route is led by building ship general Yang Pu, who starts from Wulin and marches from Chongan watershed; the second route is led by Henghai General Han Shuo, who starts from jurzhang (now Southeast of Yuyao, Zhejiang Province) and sails from the East; the third route is led by Lieutenant Wang Wenshu, who starts from Meiling and marches from the west of East Vietnam; the fourth route is led by Yue Hou general Ge Chuan and general xiase, who starts from RUOYE (now Zhejiang Province) Jiang Shaoxing (southeast of Shaoxing) and Baisha set out to attack northeast east Vietnam. in the winter of the first year of Yuanfeng (110 BC), all the four Han armies entered Fujian. When the Han Army divided its forces into four groups, Yu Shan divided his forces to build cities and defend in today's Shaowu, Jianyang, Pucheng, and Chongan areas, while he unified his forces to defend Quanshan in the north of Pucheng County. Wu Yang, the Yue Yan Marquis who lived in the Han Dynasty, was ordered to return to Dongyue by the Han Dynasty, persuading Yu Shan to give up resistance, but Yu Shan did not listen. Wu Yang led 700 local soldiers to capture Hanyang city (now the north of Pucheng County). Yu Shan was attacked by the enemy, so he had to give up the natural danger and retreat to yedU (now Fuzhou, Fujian). At that time, the Han army advanced both by land and by water. When Yue Jiancheng was built, Hou Ao conspired with Jugu, the son of Yao junchou, to kill Yu Shan and surrender to Han. After the incident was settled, the more narrow and dangerous the area to the east of Emperor Wu of Han Dynasty, the more powerful and capricious Fujian was. So the officers were ordered to lead all the people of East Vietnam to live in the area of Jianghuai. At this point, East Vietnam perished and became an empty place. After Yu Shan died, he was buried in Houguan Ningqi.
