Cao Liang
Professor, master's supervisor, secondary conductor. He is a member of China Musicians Association, a member of China Ethnic Music Association, vice president of Hainan Orchestral Music Association, vice president of Haikou Musicians Association, director of Music Research Institute of Art College of Hainan University, permanent conductor and artistic director of Hainan University National Orchestra, and one of the first academic leaders of Education and scientific research in Hainan Province.
He studied in Xi'an Conservatory of music in 1991, stayed in school after graduation in 1995, obtained a master's degree in musicology from Xi'an Conservatory of music in 2003, and was introduced to the Art College of Hainan University in 2005. Main research directions: Chinese music history, music anthropology. In 2011, he presided over the art project "Research on Hainan Li traditional music form" of the National Social Science Foundation of China, presided over the major project "Research on Hainan Li Folk Songs" of the Hainan social science union "Li studies cluster" (the first batch), and participated in a number of Ministry of education and provincial projects. He has published monographs "walking into Symphony" (2008), "music of Li nationality" (2017), successively published in Journal of Hainan University (HUMANITIES AND SOCIAL SCIENCES EDITION), "Chinese music" (Journal of China Conservatory of Music), "music and performance" (Journal of Nanjing Conservatory of Arts), "Symphony" (Journal of Xi'an Conservatory of Music), "Journal of Yunnan Conservatory of Arts" and "Tianjin Musicology" More than 20 academic papers have been published in journals such as journal of Hainan Normal University, Journal of Guizhou University and Journal of Hainan Normal University. In 1997, he won the title of "excellent educator" in the music education department of Xi'an Conservatory of music; in 2006, he won the honorary title of "the most popular teacher" of Hainan University; in 2009, he won the third prize of scientific research achievements of Hainan universities for his series of papers "research on ancient Chinese musical instrument panxiao discovered in Archaeology"; in 2012, he won the second prize of the 19th multimedia textbook (software) evaluation of Hainan Province; and in 2014, he won the third prize of scientific research achievements of Hainan universities "Local opera - Diaohu and percussion" won the third prize of the first Nanhai literature and Art Award in Hainan Province. In 2017, he won the national music excellent conductor award of the fourth Hong Kong International Music Festival; in 2017, his paper "preliminary discussion on ancient bronze drums on Hainan Island" won the third prize of theoretical review works of the second Nanhai literature and Art Award of Hainan Province; in 2017, he won the title of "excellent teacher" of Hainan University.
