Zhang Yuxi
Zhang Yuxi, a native of Xuzhou Yancheng (now Yancheng County, Henan Province), was a Jinshi of Tianxi. He was a minister of Daozhou, a military officer, a minister of Shangshu, a member of tuntian, a general judge of Jingzhou, a member of Jixian Academy of Sciences, a member of Chongwen academy, a scholar of guangluqing, and a Bachelor of Zhimi Pavilion.
Life of the characters
As a guest of the crown prince, he was erudite and good at storing books. He studied the book of changes, geography and medicine, and wrote a lot of works. He participated in the compilation of Huang You Fang Yu Tu Zhi, geography Xin Shu, and Jun Guo Shou Jian. In 1057, he revised Kai Bao Ben Cao together with Lin Yi, Su Song and Zhang Dong. Zhang Yuxi, together with the medical Palace jiazonggu and Zhu Youzhang, compiled 20 volumes of Jiayou Buzhu Shennong's materia medica based on Kaibao's Materia Medica, which was completed in 1060.
