Wu Chen (1099-1173), whose name is Zixian, was born in Wangxian township of Jurong, Jiangsu Province in Song Dynasty.
Life
Since childhood, he has made great efforts to make progress, read classics and history, and constantly strive for self-improvement. In the eighth year of Shaoxing (1138) of the Southern Song Dynasty, he was a Jinshi. He served as the water transportation officer of Qingdun salt farm in Huating County, Xiuzhou. He moved to Yushitai, supervised Yushitai, Tongzhi Gongju, remonstrated officials, geishizhong, Privy Council Affairs and political affairs. During the same period, he served as an envoy of the state of Jin. Wu was in the imperial court, remembering his hometown. He donated money to build longyoushan Temple (one mile east of Daxiang Village) with the title of "Zhaosheng" and wrote poems for Maoshan. In the 22nd year of Shaoxing, Qin Hui, a traitor, was falsely accused and dismissed. He was 65 years old and settled in Xishan, Wuxi. Qiandao nine years (1173) sick death, buried in Wuxi Huawu mountain.
