He Bingran
He Bingran (1924-1994) was born in Qianku (now Cangnan County), Pingyang County, Zhejiang Province. He graduated from Nanjing Central University and was a member of the Communist Party of China. His "Liang Qichao and Xinmin congbao" was awarded the first prize of excellent academic papers.

His father, he Chenggong, graduated from the fifth phase of Huangpu Military Academy and was once an officer. He Bingran graduated from Nanjing Central University in 1948. In January 1949, under the leadership of Pingyang Jiangnan District Committee, the Zhejiang underground Party of the Communist Party of China, he assisted in the liberation of Pingshan normal school in Pingyang, and since then he has devoted himself to revolutionary work. In September 1949, after the introduction of Jiangnan District Party committee, he went to Shanghai to get the news training class of Beijing Xinhua News Agency (later renamed Beijing News school, headmaster Hu Qiaomu). After graduation in 1950, he successively served as Guangming Daily, reporter, researcher of Zhonghua Book Company, Institute of journalism, Chinese Academy of Social Sciences, editor in chief of information research materials, and member of Academic Committee of Institute of journalism. He is the father of famous scholar He Xin. After he went to work in the Institute of journalism, he made great achievements. His academic achievements are reflected in the study of the history of modern Chinese thought, especially in the study of the history of modern newspapers and periodicals. His works include Wuchang Uprising and the history of Wuchang Uprising. Participated in the introduction of journals during the 1911 Revolution and other books. The academic papers on Liang Qichao, Xinmin congbao, yinglianzhi, Ta Kung Pao, Oriental Magazine and other modern journalists and newspapers have put forward many new opinions and corrected many previous biases, which are of great academic value. He had his own unique views on the staging standard of the history of modern newspapers and periodicals, how to evaluate the modern foreign newspapers and periodicals, and the newspapers and periodicals run by the reformists after the reform movement of 1898. In 1993, Liang Qichao and Xinmin series, written by him, were awarded the first prize of excellent academic papers in the selection of excellent scientific research achievements in the 15th anniversary of the founding of the Institute of journalism. He is one of the editorial board members and contributors of the Chinese journalism branch of the National Social Science Key Project Encyclopedia of China · press and publication, and one of the editorial board members and contributors of the National Social Science Fund's "Seventh Five Year" key project "general history of Chinese journalism". In order to further develop the academic research of Chinese journalism history, he, together with Professor Fang Hanqi and others, initiated and organized the Chinese journalism history society as the executive director. As a master's tutor, he has devoted great enthusiasm and painstaking efforts to the growth of young people.
