Life of the characters
Zhang Gui, whose ancestors worked in Yongling, Xingjing county. His father, Zhang Qinshan, once worked in Cang palace of Guangning prefecture (now Beizhen county). He had a small position in the palace, but he had a lot of savings. When he finished his term of office, he stayed in Shenyang.
Zhang Gui is a lady of a big family. She was born to Gong, the second wife of Zhang Qinshan. Zhang huanbai, elder brother, and Zhang Huanrong, younger brother (also known as Zhang Rong).
Zhang Gui was betrothed by his father to Wang Shiqi, the son of Wang Shuming, the hereditary fourth grade official in Sanling. Zhang Gui married at the age of 17 and went to school with his brother at home. At that time, there was no new school in Shenyang, so his father set up a private school for him and hired his son Ma Hongjiu to teach. Zhang Gui is smart and has a high talent. A few years later, Mr. Ma Hongjiu had to resign because of his limited cultural ability.
At the end of Qing Dynasty, the court was corrupt. At that time, Zhang Gui, as a educated young woman, had no illusions about the Qing government. In 1904, his younger brother Zhang Rong, influenced by advanced ideas, went to Xingjing and Hailong with Ding Kaizhang to organize the "independent self-defense army of Guandong" in order to launch an armed uprising. Zhang Gui's great support for her younger brother shows her support for revolutionary activities.
In September 1905, Zhang Rong and Wu Yue bombed the "five ministers" of the Qing government who went abroad to investigate constitutionalism at Qianmen station in Beijing, and then they were arrested. The Qing court "permanently imprisoned" Zhang Rong for treason and put him in the heaven prison. Zhang Gui often visited his younger brother in Tianjin model prison and met the warden Wang Shaochen. Since then, Zhang Gui often went to Wang Shaochen's house to send things to his mother.
In 1908, Zhang Gui and Zhang Rong got through with Wang Shaochen. Wang Shaochen decided to help Zhang Rong escape. Before escaping from prison, Zhang Gua took Wang's aunt and daughter-in-law to Shenyang to settle their lives so as to avoid Wang Shaochen's worries. After that, Zhang Rong escaped from prison in disguise and fled to Japan with Wang Shaochen.
After arriving in Japan, Zhang Rong met Dr. Sun Yat Sen and joined the alliance. Zhang Rong kept in touch with the revolutionaries in Shenyang through Zhang Gui. Influenced by Zhang Rong, Zhang Gui also joined the alliance and actively carried out anti imperialist and patriotic activities.
After the Wuchang Uprising in 1911, Zhang Rong returned from Japan to Shenyang and lived in the Japanese concession, Nanman hospital, in the name of recuperation. Zhang Guichang went to see him and actively planned for the independence of the three eastern provinces in support of Wuhan. Zhang Gui became Zhang Rong's right-hand assistant, and actively contacted the second mixed formation of Fengtian, lianliantong, lantianwei and Wu Luzhen to organize the military uprising.
In order to suppress the revolutionaries and maintain the old order, Zhao Erxun, governor of the three eastern provinces, established the "Mukden national security association". Then, Wu Luzhen was assassinated to remove the power of blue sky and force him to leave.
In order to promote the revolution, Zhang Rong and his elder sister Zhang Gui united the revolutionary forces in Northeast China and fought against the "security association". Zhang Guili, as a teacher, actively contacted the members of the organization and patriots. On November 17, 1911, he established the "united progressive society" in Fengtian. They elected Zhang Rong as president and Zhang Gui as members, and proposed "to build a United Republic of Manchu and Han", and supported the abdication of the Qing emperor and the establishment of the Republic of China.
On January 23, 1912, Yuan Jinkai, a royalist, came forward and, under the command of Zhang zuolin, ordered plainclothes agents to kill Zhang Rong at the corner of Sandao street in Fengtian. Then, Zhang Rong and his brother Zhang huanbai's family were copied.
After Zhang Rong died, Zhang Gui was determined to take revenge. She put a bomb in a hollowed out dictionary, ready to blow up the enemy of the revolution at any time. She traveled to Shanghai, Shenyang, Dalian, Nanjing and other places, calling for the revolution of 1911.
After the revolution of 1911, in order to cover up this period of history, Zhang zuolin asked Zhang huanbai and Zhang Gui to tell his brother and sister that he was willing to take out money to maintain Zhang's life. Zhang Gui brothers and sisters think that they should not exchange their brother's reputation for money, so they refuse. Her noble behavior is admired by people.
