Character experience
In 1957, he graduated from Tianjin Medical College and practiced medicine in obstetrics and Gynecology Department of Peking Union Medical College Hospital.
In 1973, he was engaged in the medical treatment, teaching and research of gynecological endocrinology.
From 1981 to 1983, he was a visiting scholar in the Department of reproductive medicine, University of California hospital.
In 1989, he was promoted to professor.

Scientific research achievements
The diagnostic method of hypothalamic amenorrhea, the differential diagnostic value of gonadotropin-releasing hormone (GnRH) stimulation test and the success of GnRH pulse therapy in ovulation induction were first reported in China.
For anovulatory infertility caused by polycystic ovary syndrome (PCOS), we reported the treatment experience of ovulation induction with clodinafol, ovulation induction with cyproterone acetate and slow increase of low-dose follicle stimulating hormone.
The distribution of estrogen and progesterone receptors in eutopic endometriosis and ectopic endometrium, the dynamic changes of serum reproductive hormones in patients with endometriosis and infertility, the secretion function of prolactin and the relationship between prolactin and luteal insufficiency were studied, which is helpful to understand the causes of infertility and take corresponding treatment.
In China, we first reported the results of long-acting GnRH agonist (dabijia) in the treatment of endometriosis.
The simplified GnRH excitation test was proved to be valuable in the etiological diagnosis of female homosexual precocious puberty, which can guide the clinical treatment. The concentrations of inhibin A and inhibin B in serum of women of childbearing age, postmenopausal transition and postmenopausal women were determined. It is of guiding significance to understand the ovarian reserve and clinical treatment of women. A total of 90 articles were published. Participated in the writing of 19 monographs.
