Zhuang Nian, an official of the Qing Dynasty, was born in Changzhou, Jiangsu Province (now Suzhou). In 1743 (the 8th year of Qianlong reign), he was appointed as the local ruler of Taiwan during the Qing Dynasty.
Liu Liangbi took office in 1743 as governor of Fujian Province. He took office in 1743 as successor. Fan Changzhi as governor of Taiwan. Chu Lu took office in 1745 as temporary successor. Dai Damian took office in 1741 as governor of Tanshui
