Wu Jiong, female, was born in Zhongxian in 1933. He joined the army in 1950, joined the Korean army in 1951 and served as a health officer. He won the third class meritorious service twice and the second class meritorious service in the battle of Shangganling. She is the prototype of Wang Lan, a female health worker in the movie Shangganling. She lived in Tianjin in 2015.
During the battle of Shangganling, Wu Jiong treated as many as 100 injured and wounded people. He won the second-class merit once and the third-class merit twice. He was cordially received by Chairman Mao and other older party and state leaders. Wu Jiong donated her meritorious service certificate and military medal to the country. On her 80th birthday, she made a will to donate her body to the medical cause of the motherland and devote her whole life to the motherland. She always sticks to the "Shangganling highland" of ideal and belief.
