In his administration, Li Xun never disturbed the people. He aimed at rectifying the social order, developing the local economy, and benefiting the people with the gist of "rectifying the prison cases, suppressing the thieves, relaxing the taxes and duties, and regulating the water transport". Zhejiang is a source of humanities. Li Xun attached great importance to the revitalization of culture and education. He once served as the same examiner of Zhejiang Provincial Rural examination for three times. He reviewed the students' papers and awarded a number of talents. Among them, Li Pinfang, Yu Kun and Zhu Gongshou all passed the entrance examination. Later, he became a magistrate and a servant, and had a strong political voice. In 1819, when his father died, he resigned and returned to his family to keep filial piety. In 1821, he saved his salary and bought dozens of boxes of rare books, which were transported back to Zunyi beach to build a library called "Chujing hall" for Li's children to study. During the period of filial piety, he studied Confucian classics and history and taught in zhenzongtang, a private school of Yumen temple. He trained his son Li zhaoxun, his nephew Zheng Zhen and his son Mo Youzhi from hundreds of tourists. Together with Yang Shitian, a Confucian of zhengjiachang in Suiyang County, he cultivated a group of famous scholars, such as Li Zhaoquan, Li Shutao, Li Shufan and Li Shuchang. There is such a folk song in the village: "Yumen Temple (changed back to Longshan beach temple as Yumen temple in the fourth year of Shunzhi reign of Qing Dynasty), study hall, who is the teacher, Li and Yang (Li refers to Li Anli and Li Xun, Yang refers to Yang Shitian), 60 years, Qianguang, liangfuzi, zekongchang." In 1834, Daoguang was selected as a candidate to enter Beijing. He was selected as the magistrate of Pingyi, Xinping, Dayao, Yaozhou and Tongzhi of qiaojiating in Dongchuan Prefecture. As an official, he can understand the people's situation and has a distinctive political voice. In the first year of Xianfeng (1851), he went back to Guizhou because of his illness. Collection of books
Zheng Zhen and Mo Youzhi were trained by Li Xun, especially in poetry. There is a large collection of books. My nephew Zheng Zhen often studies at home. Read his rich collection of books, and be interested in historical research and collection of books. He once said, "Jinshi is the end of people's study, and Jinshi is the beginning of my study." so he bought many ancient books, cherished the title in his strong year, and went back to his hometown Zunyi, Guizhou, to study on the beach, to pass on the classics, thus laying the foundation of "beach culture".
