Huang Dingchen
Huang Dingchen (1901 ~ 1995) was born in a humble family. He wanted to study medicine and pharmacy to save the world. He was born in an ordinary family of five brothers and sisters in Tujiao town of yiziliao, Haifeng County, Huizhou Prefecture, Guangdong Province. After graduating from primary school, he had to drop out of school because of financial difficulties and became an apprentice in a traditional Chinese medicine shop. In 1918, when his family was better off, he was admitted to Haifeng middle school. Later, Peng Pai, his old classmate, returned to China and served as the director of education in Haifeng County. He recruited students studying in Japan to go abroad. Huang Dingchen immediately applied for the examination and ranked first among many candidates. After several twists and turns, he finally arrived in Tokyo at the end of 1921 and entered the East Asian preparatory college.

Huang Dingchen witnessed famine, disease and disaster everywhere in the old Chinese society, especially when he was an apprentice in a traditional Chinese medicine shop. In order to relieve the pain of the villagers, he volunteered to study medicine, so he enrolled in a Japanese medical school. After studying hard for five years, he obtained the qualification to practice medicine in Japan.
Huang Dingchen - join the party
During the period of studying medicine in Japan, Huang Dingchen constantly read Marxist books and took part in the anti imperialist and patriotic action led by the Communist Party of China. He gradually turned from aspiring to study medicine to engaging in revolution and insisted on it as a lifelong career. When he studied medicine in Japan, as a righteous young man, Huang Dingchen read a lot of books about Marxism. At the same time, he took part in many anti imperialist patriotic actions. Every time he marched, he was at the front, so he was often arrested by the Japanese police during the conflict. He was detained at sanchachin police station in Kanda district four or five times. During the struggle, he gradually deepened his understanding of the Communist Party of China, raised his awareness of Marxist ideology, and realized that only under the leadership of the Communist Party of China, revolution is the only way out for China. So Huang Dingchen joined the Communist Party of China in December 1927, when the Chinese revolution was at a low ebb.
Life of Huang Dingchen
Huang Dingchen took part in revolutionary work in 1927. In 1928, he was the chairman of the Organizing Committee of the "Anti Japanese Alliance" led by the Tokyo special branch of the Communist Party of China. He was detained by the Japanese police department for carrying out patriotic and anti Japanese activities and was sent back to China. In August of the same year, he served as chairman of the Organizing Committee of the anti imperialist alliance. In September, he was arrested and jailed in Shanghai French concession. After he was released from prison in 1932, he practiced medicine in Macao, Guangzhou, Guilin, Kunming, Chongqing and other places, and engaged in revolutionary activities. During the Anti Japanese War, under the leadership of Zhou Enlai and other comrades of the Southern Bureau of the CPC Central Committee, the United Front Work and democratic revolutionary activities were carried out. At the end of 1940, he was employed as a medical and health consultant by Chongqing Xinhua Daily. He has successively participated in the three people's principles comrades' Federation, the democratic foundation of the people's Republic of China and the Revolutionary Committee of the Chinese Kuomintang, and served as a member of the Chongqing Branch of the democratic foundation of China and the Guangdong Branch of the democratic revolution. He joined China Zhi Gong Party in 1946. At the beginning of the same year, he arrived in Hong Kong and planned to reorganize the Zhigong party, rectify party affairs and join the people's democratic united front under the leadership of the Communist Party of China. He was elected member of the Standing Committee of the CPC Central Committee and Minister of organization and training at the Third Congress of China Zhi Gong Party. In 1949, Huang Dingchen participated in the preparatory work of the new CPPCC and participated in the first plenary session of the Chinese people's Political Consultative Conference as one of the representatives of the Chinese Zhi Gong Party. After the founding of the people's Republic of China, Huang Dingchen successively served as director of the medical administration bureau of the central Ministry of health, director of the Department of medical prevention and control, President of the China Anti Tuberculosis Association, vice president and Secretary General of the Chinese Medical Association, member of the fourth, Fifth and sixth Standing Committee of the CPC Zhi Gong Party, chairman of the seventh and Eighth Central Committee, honorary chairman of the ninth and tenth Central Committee, member of the second, third and fourth CPPCC National Committee, and member of the fifth, sixth and Seventh National Committee He is a member of the Standing Committee of the Chinese people's Political Consultative Conference, leader of the overseas Chinese group of the Chinese people's Political Consultative Conference, deputy to the first, second and third National People's congresses, third vice chairman of the all China Federation of overseas Chinese, vice chairman of the China Center for international cultural exchange, honorary director of the China Disabled People's welfare foundation, etc.

He died in Beijing on January 7, 1995 at the age of 94.
