Huang Ji, born in 1464. The word Zongda, Zhongshan County people. When he was young, he was proficient in the two classics of autumn and spring. He wrote articles to get rid of platitudes, failed to catch the test, and collected books to serve the elderly. He had no ambition to be an official and lived in seclusion on the top of Luofu Mountain

Huang Jueyi lived in seclusion in Jiaoshan mountain of Luofu mountains. He was named Yuezhou by himself. At the beginning, his theory mixed many Buddhist and Huang Lao's thoughts. Later, he read Shao Yong's Huangji Jingshi and other books, and said with admiration: "since Jizi, he has been combined with Taoism, and his Yaofu is the best." so he wrote 13 Huangji guankan. In his later years, he devoted himself to the study of Confucian classics, the book of changes and the doctrine of the mean, including 25 volumes of San Wu Xuan Shu, 8 volumes of Huang Ji Jing Shi Shu Zhuan, 6 volumes of Yue Zhou Ji, and deleting Zheng Huang Ting Jing. Qu Dajun said in his book Guangdong new language: "the best of Cantonese calligraphy is Ji."
