Ma Dingyuan (1919-1940), a native of zhanggaitai village, tumed banner, Han nationality.
In March 1939, the second and third regiments of the northwest frontier autonomous army were jointly organized into the second division of the puppet defense. Han Wu served as the division commander, and Ma Dingyuan, who was only 20 years old, served as the chief of staff of the division. The division headquarters of the second division and the second regiment of the puppet defense were stationed in chasuqi banner, and the other regiments were stationed in the villages of Shenjiang, duoerji, and taoheqi, respectively, to control the main way out of the mountain of Wanjiagou in Daqingshan Anti Japanese base area. In 1939, accompanied by Han Wu, Ma Dingyuan met with Yang Zhilin, the leader of the base area, in Gucheng village, and agreed on the form of cooperation. He also asked the Eighth Route Army to send cadres to the division to serve as deputy chief of staff to transform the army. In the same year, Ma Dingyuan maintained a number of guns for the base area, personally escorted them to Bashi village and handed them to the logistics personnel of the base area. In 1940, the Japanese army discovered that the second division of the Japanese defense Communist Party "had an affair with eight routes". Ma Dingyuan and other 30 officers were arrested and locked up in Houhe military police headquarters. The arrested officer was tortured by the Japanese gendarmerie. Ma Dingyuan was fearless in the face of danger and vowed to die. In early July, 24 officers above company level, including Ma Dingyuan, were secretly shot and killed near Halaqin, Helingeer County.
