Gu Chengtian (1663-1744) was named Xiaoya. When Gu Chengtian was a member of Zhu Sheng, he was on the South tour of Kangxi and presented his ode to Yanjing.
Profile
He is good at learning all day and is good at poetry. He uses poetry to consult his fellow countrymen and master Cai song. In 1681 (the 20th year of the reign of Emperor Kangxi of the Qing Dynasty), he was elected. During the reign of Yongzheng, he stayed at Cai song's house all day long. Cai song got the poem "chanting the Imperial City Grass" in his poem. He suspected that the poem was meant to satirize the imperial court, so he asked him to send the complete collection to the emperor to inform him. However, when the Emperor Yongzheng saw the collection of "six chapters of poems to mourn the emperor", he was moved to tears and appreciated it very much. He thought it was an immortal poem of loyalty and patriotism. After returning to his hometown, Gu Chengtian lived in seclusion in Nanhui city until he died at the age of 82. He wrote Yan Jing Fu, San Chong Fu, Jiu Ge Jie of Chu Ci, Li Sao Jie, Du Sao lie Lun, Jin Guan Ji and Hua Yu Shan Fang Wen Ji, all of which were listed in the general catalogue of Si Ku and handed down to later generations.
