Duan Honggu (765-814) was a native of Anxiang, Lizhou, the East Road of Shannan. Tang Dynasty poet.
Ranked ninth, scholar. He was a scholar of the Royal historian he Shigan, a thrifty envoy of Shannan East Road Yu Xuan, Li Jingjian, LV Wen and Youshi Zhang su. After the death of LV Wen and the relegation of Li Jingjian, Duan Honggu went down to visit Liu Yuxi and Liu Zongyuan. Liu and Liu recommended it to Cui Neng, Yongzhou governor. Later, Duan Honggu went south to visit Dou Qun, Rongguan's economic envoy. When he passed by Guizhou, the governor didn't receive him politely, so he became ill and died. Cui Neng gave a special gift to Duan Honggu and paid for the funeral utensils, so that Duan Honggu was buried in Lizhou. Representative works include "accompany LV Shijun to see flowers at night upstairs", "autumn bosom" and "solitary bamboo".
When Duan Honggu visited Liu Zongyuan, he showed LV Wen's ink. Liu Zongyuan saw things and thought of people, so he wrote the book of Duan jiuxiucai's meeting with his dead friend LV Hengzhou. When Duan Honggu died in Yongzhou, Liu Zongyuan held a memorial ceremony of "offering sacrifices to Duan hongguwen" and wrote the tomb records of Duan Hong, a scholar.
