brief account of the author's life
After graduating from primary school in 1927, he became a teacher of junior primary school and joined the "young comrades' Club of Laiyang county" to organize farmers' associations and set up night schools for farmers. In 1930, in the name of peasant association, he organized poor peasants to fight against Chen Dongming, the big landlord of yejiazhuang Village (now Laiyang City). He joined the Communist Party of China in June 1933. In July of the same year, he served as member of the special branch of Zhaoyuan Laiyang border region and member of the organization committee of Laiyang border region, and presided over the establishment of the Party branch of gujia village. In February 1934, the CPC Laiyang County Committee was destroyed, and Liu Tan and others were hunted by the "capture Communist Party team". After Liu Tan got out of danger, he presided over the work of zhaolaibian party. After the introduction of the party organization, he went to Huangxian, Penglai and other places to carry out party work under the cover of short-term work. Presided over the cancellation of Zhaoyuan special branch, established Zhaoyuan special branch, and served as the Secretary of the special branch. In April 1935, he was arrested in Qingdao for betrayal by traitors and detained in Jinan people's Court of reflection. After returning to his hometown, he restored the party organization, set up the temporary Committee of pingzhao laiye border region with malianzhuang as the center, and organized Anti Japanese and national salvation activities through the "vanguard of Chinese national liberation". In February 1938, the cooperation between the Kuomintang and the Communist Party of Laiyang came into being, and he served as the director of the county team headquarters of the "vanguard of Chinese national liberation" in Laiyang City. In April, he served as secretary of the CPC Laiyang County Committee. In June, he was injured and arrested in the petition struggle between leading teachers and students and the masses. In 1939, he was rescued and released by the party organization and went to work for the Jiaodong district Party committee. Later, he successively served as the head of the organization section and acting director of the Organization Department of the Jiaodong district Party committee, member of the Standing Committee of the Jiaodong district Party committee and director of the Jiaodong district administrative office. After the founding of new China, he has successively served as deputy director of the Organization Department of the Shanghai municipal Party committee, member of the Party group of the first Ministry of machinery, director of the Department of infrastructure, director of the electric appliance Bureau, etc. He was persecuted in the cultural revolution.
