Synopsis
Zhang's family has three beautiful daughters. Because of the gratitude and resentment of the previous generation, they have received strict education from Zhang's mother (Li Lifeng) since childhood. They are strictly forbidden to approach men, advocating that all men in the world are untrustworthy. When they grow up, their eldest daughter Zhang Nianqi (Liu Xuehua) and yang yin (Zhang Peihua) fall in love and elope to get married when Zhang's mother opposes them. However, under Zhang's control, their happiness does not last long. Zhang's mother designs to separate them. Finally, the eldest daughter commits suicide with hatred, and Yang Yin can only go away with pain; and the most obedient second daughter Zhang Nianyu (Yu Xiaofan) puts all her energy on reading, but her mother mistakenly thinks that her teacher Yu Wangchen (Wang Fushi) has developed feelings with her, so she gives her a serious spiritual blow, and finally goes mad after her elder sister commits suicide.
