Father lost in his early years

In 1810, ran Chongwen was born in a scholarly family. Great grandfather ran Guangli was a year old Gongsheng, grandfather ran Zhengwei was Bagong, father ran Ruisong was zengguangsheng, and uncle ran ruidai was Bagong in 1825. In his biography of Ran Chongwen, Chen junxu, a year old Gongsheng, said: "Chongwen students have different aptitude. They have ten lines to read, but they will never forget when they look at them. They will not draft articles, and they will write quickly and quickly." When ran Chongwen was 20 years old, ran Ruisong died, and the burden of his family fell on his shoulders. Under such circumstances, ran Chongwen could only earn money to support his family while persisting in his studies to gain fame. Seeing that ran Chongwen was intelligent and studious, his uncle ran ruidai took the initiative to support his family and cultivate their three brothers, especially ran Chongwen. Every time ran Chongwen went to take part in the scientific examination, it was ran ruidai who gave him an offer. Because of the help of ran ruidai, ran Chongwen was able to study at ease, and later he was admitted to Youyang Prefecture.

Poetry embraces

In 1853, he Shaoji, the academic administrator of Sichuan Province, presided over the examination in Youyang. Ran Chongwen's articles at that time were highly praised by he Shaoji. At that time, it was the Mid Autumn Festival, and he Shaoji and Zhu Sheng wrote poems with limited rhyme, praised "ran Chongwen's poetic theory is very embracing", and inscribed words on the fan to reward him. In the poetry meeting, he Shaoji was very happy. He won the two examinations of Youyang Sui Ke. It can be seen from the poem "harmony of life". In the poem, he Shaoji wrote: I don't want to meet the big moon in the festive season, and the mountains are famous for their elegance. The article has its own true source, and the atmosphere is still based on the master. The next year, he Shaoji was still reciting ran Chongwen when he took the examination in Ningyuan. "Last Mid Autumn Festival, according to the test of Youyang, ran shengchongwen took the mountain as his fu, which was the most outstanding." No official career

Ran Chongwen was just a good student all his life. In the Qing Dynasty, the imperial examination system can be divided into four levels: court examination, rural examination, joint examination and palace examination. And excellent students are only excellent candidates in the lowest level of hospital examination. Hospital examination, also known as "children's examination", is the first level of the national imperial examination system. The examinees who pass the hospital examination are generally called "Shengren", also called "Zhusheng" and "Xiangsheng", commonly known as "Xiucai". The students are divided into three grades. The students with the best performance are the students who have a certain number of places. The state gives them the food allowance (food subsidy), followed by the students who are prolific and attached. Ran Chongwen has written 12 volumes of Ran's genealogy, 16 volumes of Eryou Jiwen, 4 volumes of visiting Qiao Lianyin, 41 volumes of xiaoyoushanfang zalu, 12 volumes of Pengshui County annals, 45 volumes of twenty-four historical records, and 24 volumes of Youyang Zhili Prefecture General annals with Feng Shiying (Huchuan).
