Since then, such disappearances have occurred repeatedly, and people have reported the case to Liu Rongsi, governor of water transport in Shouzhou. Liu Rongsi also felt that this matter was very strange. In order to find out the truth, he sent a cadre to dress up as a peddler, pick up some women's things, such as needles and thread, incense and purse, to sell at the gate of Hongmen temple, secretly monitor the temple dynamics, and investigate and collect evidence. It's strange that monks here are scrambling to buy these things. After a period of observation, the missing woman was found burning incense again. It was concluded that the monk of Hongmen temple had done it. The Scout immediately rushed back to report to Liu Rongsi. Liu Rongsi was an upright, intelligent and courageous official for the people. After hearing the report, he sighed to Tianchang: "there is such a thing in the world. It's heinous!" The next day, Liu Rongsi led a mighty army to encircle the Red Gate Temple. After searching the temple, the officers and soldiers controlled the monks one by one and tied them up. During the search, they found the entrance of the tunnel in a secret room.
