At that time, the school's "drive Lu Xuechao" had not yet subsided, and then developed into the "strive for the Council" movement. On June 22, the State Council decided to change Jiaotong University into Shanghai and Tangshan, that is, the later Shanghai Jiaotong University, Tangshan Jiaotong University and Jiaotong University Beijing School (now Beijing Jiaotong University) were abolished and changed to Tangshan Jiaotong University Beijing Branch. Soon after, he was appointed director of operations and head of intermodal transport. Later, he served as the director of pinghan Railway Bureau. After the July 7th incident in 1937, Guan genglin refused to cooperate with the Japanese invaders and the puppets and maintained his lofty national integrity. During the Anti Japanese War, he devoted himself to the national railway transportation industry and supported the Anti Japanese war. after the victory of the Anti Japanese War, he stayed idle in Beijing because he served his sick mother. During this period, he presided over the famous modern literature association, the "Shengyuan Poetry Association". In June of the same year, he was employed by Zhou Enlai as a librarian of the Central Research Institute of literature and history. He died in Beijing on March 4, 1962. He was 82 years old.
Academic contribution
Guan Gengling is not only a famous industrialist, educator and one of the founders of railway transportation industry in modern China, but also one of the greatest CI poets in modern China. As early as in the early 1990s, Guan genglin organized and participated in the literary activities of Hanshan poetry society. Hanshan poetry society is famous for its research on poetry bell. After Guan Gengling presided over Hanshan poetry club, he set it in his "Gaoyuan" residence in nanwanzi Tofu House, Nanchizi, Beijing. The club was renamed "Gaoyuan poetry club" and Guan Gengling was the president of the club. The main members of Gaoyuan poetry society are Fu Zengxiang, Wu Beijiang, Xia Zhichao, Guo zeshu, Xu Baoshu, Chen Yungao, Zhong Gangzhong, Xing Duan, Zhang Shizhao, Guo Fenghui, Xiao Longyou, Qi Rushan, Liu Wenjia, Huang juntan, Tang Yongtong, Li Peiji, Zhang Boju, ye gongchuo, Yan jianzhai, Wang lengzhai, Peng Babai, Shen Yangfang, etc. They studied ci poetry, calligraphy and singing together. Gaoyuan poetry society is a literary society with the longest existence and the most scholars in modern China. The Gaoyuan Poetry Society Studies poetry, songs and Fu. Since most of the members of the poetry society are masters of calligraphy and painting, and since ancient times, poetry, calligraphy and painting are not separated from each other, so the poetry society often carries out activities of presenting calligraphy and painting works to each other and commenting on them. In the early 1950s, Zhang Boju set up another "Gengyin Ci Poetry Society" to study ci poetry. Many poets in Gaoyuan are also members of the CI society. In 1956, Mr. Zhang Shizhao, Guo Fenghui and Zhang Boju, the main members of the Gaoyuan poetry society, founded the first calligraphy organization in China, Beijing Chinese Calligraphy Research Society. At the same time, they also organized the Chinese poetry research society. Zhang Shizhao will be the president, Guo Fenghui and Zhang Boju will be the vice presidents, and Guo Fenghui will also be the Secretary General. Unfortunately, because of the sudden "anti rightist movement", this poetry club did not stand and died.
Appreciative Remarks
Mr. Xu Keru, the daughter of master Xu Baochen and an expert in contemporary literature and history, once said: Mr. Xia Renhu once said in a poem:
"Yingren is the master of the altar, and has been working hard for her colleagues for a long time. "
It can be seen how long the poetry club has been in existence. Mr. Xu Keru also said: there are poems in the near poems of the high garden which Mr. Guan Yingren gave to his father
"The pagoda Pavilion is crossed with the emerald trees to reflect the noble base, and the sudden mansion is frequently heard of the opening of Guangchen. Who is the leader of Xinyuan Gong Lao holding the hair? Once he sees hundreds of scholars coming. "
This is about a gathering in the spring of 1931. In only half a day, Guan Gengling met 93 guests. We can see the grand occasion of the poetry society at that time. The heyday of Gaoyuan was from the victory of the Anti Japanese War to the early 1960s. Later, with the bad social and political environment and the death of many outstanding poets, such as Guan genglin, Xu Baozhen and Liu Wenjia, the Gaoyuan poetry society naturally disappeared. Guo Fenghui, the first teacher of the author and the representative of modern BeiXue, is an important poet of the Gaoyuan poetry society. Mr. Guo Fenghui and Mr. Guan Yingren have a lot of harmony. In Mr. Guo Fenghui's manuscript Fenghui Shicun, many "subject" Poems of that year's Gaoyuan poetry society, as well as some singing with Mr. Guan Yingren and Mr. Xu Baozhen, are preserved. One of them is the new year's work of President Shihe Guan Yingren
"Lao Dingchen, a monk, has no decoration to send his life. When do you really get it back. On this evening, it floated to the country. The sky is far away, the rotten star is coming, the window is cold, and the red candle shines on the ice. After singing a little poem, you can tune your pen freely and draw a fork on the red and blue at the beginning of the year. "
The original poem of Mr. Guan Yingren is as follows:
"Therefore, when they visited restaurants in the south of the city, the poets loved Beijing for generations. The spring flag is still overflowing, and the ancient books are going to follow the island. Who hinders the moon when there is no lamp in the deep thoroughfare. Old friend far away also meet, still sing Hao hand belongs to fork. "
These two poems, written in the early 1950s, vividly and vividly express the childlike innocence of the senior poets, who are affectionate and friendly to each other.
