Wang Fen (1828-1899), a native of ruoqiao village in the east of the city, was named Zizhuang and Yunxuan. When he was young, he was intelligent and studious. He studied Classics and history under the guidance of Huang Yan scholars Jiang Wenheng and Li Feiying. During this period, he collated "gengdutang poetry notes" and compiled "Ni Xizi", "ice and snow prose", "ceremony Yiyi", "Jiufeng Mountain records", "rouqiao Wang Genealogy". Wang Fen did not set up a door for his studies, and did not carve out his articles in order to be fair. He made a deep research on the theory of nature, economy, exegesis and CI Zhang, and made full and accurate textual research on the authenticity of local literature.
Life of the characters
Qing Tongzhi first year (1862) for the excellent Gongsheng, Tongzhi six years Zhongju people. In the last two examinations, he failed, so he gave lectures and said, "I have no intention to be an official. I'm afraid I'll be even more tired if I get an order." his lifelong ambition is to invent scholarship, commend the sages, and enlighten the backward. The past academy leaders include: Huangyan Jiufeng, Qingxian and Wenda, Chuzhou Liancheng, Wenzhou Zhongshan, Dongshan, Xuejing, Taiping Zongwen, Linhai Zhengxue, Jiangxi Nanchang jingxun. Wang Fen was erudite and learned classics. He advocated Neo Confucianism of the song and Ming Dynasties and praised the national integrity. He often educated his students with the deeds of Lu liuliang and others. It is advocated that reading should be reasonable, not for the sake of being an official. In order to make Binhai become Zou Lu, Taizhou modern scholars such as Yu Changlin, Wang Zhouyao, Zhang Bi, Zhu Qian, Guan Shijun and Huang Fangqing all came out of the school. In the eighth year of Guangxu (1882), more than half of the provincial examinations in Jiangxi came from the Academy headed by Wang Fen. Wang deeply felt that Huang Yan's collection of books was insufficient, so he collected many classics and historical books to explore the local literature. In the seventh year of Tongzhi, he borrowed the lost Ming manuscript Du Qingxian collection in the capital, transcribed it day and night, and wrote the chronicle of Du Qingxian for publication. Borrow Taizhou ancient books from "yuhailou" and print "Jiao Qi Ji" by Che Ruoshui of Song Dynasty and "Xun Zhi Zhai Ji" by Fang Xiaoru of Ming Dynasty. Wang Zhen has been in charge of Jiufeng Academy for more than ten years. He has paid attention to the cultural deeds. He donated 3000 liang of Jiangxi Xuezheng as a gift, purchased the collection of ancient and modern books and other famous mountain Pavilion bookstores, and also collected the large-scale books of past dynasties, such as Taiping Yulan, CE Fu Yuangui, Yuan Jian Leihan, Gu Yi Congshu, Wu Ying Dian Congshu, totaling more than 30000 volumes. He is the author of Jing Shuo Ou Cun, Liu Shu Gu Xun, Shi Ji Bu Zheng, Han Shu Bu Zheng, re chronology of emperors, next year table, Datong Pingyi, Dali Pingyi, Ming Dali refutation, Sino foreign peace and war discussion, Tai Xian Yi Nian Lu, rouqiao Wen Chao, etc. From the seventh year of the reign of Emperor Guangxu, he began to compile a book called "the unification of Taiwan Studies". In his later years, he finished a Book of 100 volumes and compiled 337 celebrities from the Jin Dynasty to the Qing Dynasty in Taizhou. The academic thought of rouqiao Wenchao, which sums up the whole life, has been praised by scholars since the late Qing Dynasty.
Character achievement
Wang's local chronicles include: Huangyan County chronicles and Huangyan collection, Qingtian County chronicles and Yongjia County chronicles, Xianju County chronicles and Xianju collection, Taiping continuation chronicles, Hangzhou Fu Chronicles (Draft), Chicheng chronicles proofreading notes, and Fangcheng heritage sequels. He often discussed with Dai Aofeng and Zhu Guiqing on the theory and compilation methods of local records. It not only inherits the viewpoint of hongliangji's compilation school, but also absorbs the theory of Zhang Xuecheng's writing school, forming a relatively complete set of theory. It is one of the masters of local records theory in the late Qing Dynasty, enriching and developing the academic thought of local records. The local records compiled by Wang Fen have always been highly praised, and Liang Qichao is known as the good structure of local records in Qing Dynasty.
People's Memorial
In the 24th year of the reign of Emperor Guangxu, Xu Zhixiang, a scholar in Zhejiang Province, recommended the title to the cabinet in the Qing Dynasty. He died in twenty-five years at the age of 72. Wang Fen wrote 734 volumes all his life, which was the first in modern Taizhou. In addition to the county annals and "rouqiao Wenchao" and a few other works published, there is no other capital to go to the press. In 1915, Yu Changlin sought help from Wu Xing and Liu Chenggan in Shanghai for the publication of "the unification of Taiwan Studies". Some of Wang's works were collected by Linhai and Huangyan museums, and some of them were destroyed during the cultural revolution. (1) Xu Zheng, Cheng Zhu, refers to Xu Shen (Confucian classics scholar and philologist of the Eastern Han Dynasty), Zheng Xuan (Confucian classics scholar of the Eastern Han Dynasty), Cheng Hao, Cheng Yi (philosopher and educator of the Northern Song Dynasty) and Zhu Xi (philosopher and educator of the Southern Song Dynasty). (2) Yuhai building, built in 1887 by sun Yiyan of Ruian, is named after the book Yuhai written by Wang Yinglin of Song Dynasty. In 1962, it was listed as a provincial cultural relic protection unit. (3) Hong Liangji was a famous textual researcher and historian in the middle of Qing Dynasty. The compilation of annals emphasizes historical data, but pays little attention to realistic data. (4) Zhang Xuecheng was a famous historian and local chronicler in the middle of Qing Dynasty. Liang Qichao thought that "the establishment of the local records study actually started from Shizhai."
