Xiong Shaomu (1795-1878), a native of Changsha County, Hunan Province, was born in 1795. He seldom hears poetry, but also works ancient words. When Wu Meiliang presided over Hunan Grain Reserve, he selected scholars with poems and Fu, got his poems, praised them as "super class", and treated each other as statesmen
In the 11th year of Daoguang (1831), Shaomu was an excellent Gongsheng in Jingchong and ranked first in all the imperial examinations. At that time, senior officials and scholars vied with each other to make friends. In the past 15 years, he won the second place in Shuntian rural examination. Twenty years later, Wenqing was the examinee of Jiangnan. He was asked to help him with his examination papers because of illness. As a result, Wenqing was impeached for violating the ban, and Shaomu was removed from his name and released. Later, Lao Chongguang ran the army in Jining, Shanxi, and invited him to Shanxi. He traveled all over the old capital of Tang, Xia and Yu, and expressed his feelings of injustice in his poems, which were full of new ideas. After the rise of the Taiping army, Shaomu, at the invitation of Luo Bingzhang, governor of Hunan Province, went to Jiangxi to raise money. He got the money back and restored the former official. After the establishment of Changsha QiuZhong academy, he applied for the chair. Soon, he taught blue mountain. When the Taiping army came to attack, he helped to defend the city for more than 20 days. Encirclement, imperial edict plus five rank, to cabinet letter selection. The next year I left. In his later years, Shaomu lived in Dongquan thatched cottage in Changsha, where he discussed poetry with his younger brother. There was an endless stream of people from all over the world who came to ask for poetry. Vietnamese envoys also came to buy his poetry collection. In 1878, Xiong Shaomu died of disease. There are more than 60 volumes of his posthumous works, such as the collection of Dushu Yannian Tang, the sequel of Dushu Yannian Tang and xiaoyingzhuguan Shiyu.
