Zhang Ji
Zhang Ji, male; (November 1932 August 10, 2017), from Qingyuan, Hebei Province, started work in September 1955, joined the Communist Party of China in May 1956, and joined the army in September 1960. Doctoral supervisor. He graduated from the Department of medicine of Peking University with a doctor's degree in neurology of the former Soviet Union. He has been engaged in clinical, teaching and scientific research of neurosurgery for a long time, and has deep research on the diagnosis and treatment of brain and spinal cord tumors, vascular diseases and brain injury. Chief physician, professor and doctoral supervisor of Neurosurgery Department of PLA General Hospital (301 Hospital).
On August 10, 2017, Comrade Zhang Ji died in Beijing at the age of 84.

In 1980, the first transsphenoidal approach for pituitary tumor resection in the army was extended to the whole country, reaching the international advanced level, and won the first prize of the PLA medical achievement in 1997. He has a deep research on neurosurgical microsurgery, skull base surgery and the treatment of glioma. He has won more than 20 awards such as military science and Technology Progress Award and national science and technology progress award.
