Shen Yu (1377-1458), with the word Gongji, was born in Wu county (now Suzhou, Jiangsu Province) and named tuiqiao. He is good at landscape painting. His ink painters Ma Yuan and Xia Li, his light color Li Tang and his dark color Zhao Boju are all vivid.
