Shen Qi
Shen Qi, Professor, was born in Shanghai in January 1940. He studied in the Department of chemistry of Nankai University from 1957 to 1962. He was the dean of School of chemistry and chemical engineering of Suzhou University. She has won the honorary titles of "national young and middle-aged expert with outstanding contributions", "national model teacher", "national advanced worker", "National Education Commission women model" and so on. Her research achievements in rare earth metal organic chemistry have won high praise from peers at home and abroad. Her laboratory has synthesized many new light rare earth organic compounds for the first time, and has been applied in systematic research Based on the structure and reaction performance of rare earth organic compounds, two new catalytic reactions have been developed.

He worked in the school of chemistry and chemical engineering of Soochow University in September 1993 and served as the dean of the school of chemistry and chemical engineering of Soochow University from 1995 to 1998. Young and middle-aged experts with outstanding contributions at the national level are entitled to special subsidies from the government of the State Council. It is the first level training object of "333 project" in Jiangsu Province, and the excellent subject leader of ordinary colleges and universities in Jiangsu Province. Member of the academic committee of State Key Laboratory of organometallic chemistry, Shanghai Institute of organic chemistry, Chinese Academy of Sciences. It has published more than 200 academic papers and 6 books in core journals at home and abroad. He won the second prize of natural science of Chinese Academy of Sciences and the second prize of science and technology progress of Jiangsu Province in 1993 and 1998 respectively. The main research direction is metal organic chemistry, including the synthesis, structure and application in organic and polymer synthesis of rare earth and transition metal complexes. In 1957, Shen Qi was admitted to the Department of chemistry of Nankai University, and she graduated with excellent grades. In 1962, Shen Qi, who was not satisfied with her undergraduate knowledge, became a graduate student of polymer chemistry in Changchun Institute of Applied Chemistry, Chinese Academy of Sciences, and stayed in the Institute after graduation in 1966. In the eyes of her tutor full of encouragement, Shen Qi understood the value of independence and self-improvement. After consulting the materials and carefully operating them over and over again, she finally successfully completed the experiment and crossed the first hurdle on the road of scientific research. Since then, the spirit of independence has taken root in her soul and become her consistent character in scientific research and talent training. In 1979, Shen Qi went to the Institute of coal research, Marple society, Federal Republic of Germany for further study and engaged in the research of organometallic chemistry. Before going abroad, Shen Qi was full of apologies for her busy husband and a pair of children under 10 years old. But she did not stop pursuing the light of science. Even so, Shen Qi still saved some money from her teeth to buy experimental equipment such as low-temperature constant temperature water tank and stirrer, which are in short supply in China. Shen Qi talked about this experience in a very calm tone. She said that at that time, none of the Chinese students did not want to learn more and bring more advanced things back. The country sent us out for this purpose! In the summer of 1981, with simple personal luggage and heavy experimental equipment, Shen Qi boarded the flight back to China and started her career in Changchun Institute of Applied Chemistry, Chinese Academy of Sciences. At this time Shen Qi and two years ago have the same perseverance, but because of more than two years of accumulation and appears calm mellow. Shen Qi can't take care of her parting with her relatives for a long time. With a large amount of information she brought back from Germany, she plunges into a new job. At that time, the research of metal organic chemistry was just beginning in China. Considering her learning content and achievements abroad, the Chinese Academy of Sciences decided to set up a metal organic chemistry research laboratory aiming at this new research field in China, and let Shen Qi be the director of the laboratory. At this time, Shen Qi was just in her early 40s, and it was the golden time to work hard in her life. Her husband, who also had a successful career, also got the opportunity to go abroad for further study. A couple, who had always kept pace with each other in their career and were also indifferent and low-key in their life, once again said goodbye because of their love for science. At the beginning of the establishment of the research laboratory, Shen Qi, as the director, worked more than ten hours every day and had no time to take care of her young children. As a result, one of her sister and brother was sent to her grandmother's home in Suzhou, the other was picked up by her grandmother in Northeast China, and the four members of her family were divided into four places. Ten years after returning to China, the Institute, with Shen Qi as the backbone, won the second prize of NSFC for "Research on rare earth oriented catalyst", and the second prize of NSFC for its research achievement "synthesis, structure and reaction performance of new light rare earth organic compounds". She also won the titles of "Jilin Province 38 red flag bearer" and "excellent graduate tutor of Chinese Academy of Sciences" with her outstanding performance, and enjoyed many honors such as "special allowance of the State Council Government". In 1993, Shen Qi returned to Suzhou and started her second business in Suzhou University. Su Da set up a metal organic chemistry laboratory for her. Shen Qi once again like a bird nest, gradually equipped the laboratory from scratch. Shen Qi also lived up to the expectations of Su University. In 1997, as one of the leaders, she undertook the research task of the ninth five year plan project "UV curable coatings for optical fibers" in Jiangsu Province. She and her research team took the lead in using dendrimers developed in recent years for the synthesis of UV curable resins. For the first time, she proposed to use Michael reaction to synthesize high functional, low cost and high cost UV curable coatings in one step The UV curable coating for optical fiber with fast photosensitive speed and excellent processing performance has been developed by melting the dendritic photosensitive polymer with low viscosity. The application unit test shows that the photosensitive speed of the coating has exceeded the famous American DSM product level, and has made contributions to the development of China's communication industry. Shen Qi has successively undertaken the "climbing plan" and presided over a number of major scientific research projects, such as National Natural Science Foundation of China, Jiangsu Natural Science Foundation, natural science foundation of Jiangsu Provincial Education Commission, and ninth five year key projects of Jiangsu Provincial Science and Technology Commission. She has obtained more than 1 million yuan of project fund support, completed 3 appraisal achievements, and won 2 national invention patents, including "synthesis, structure and application of rare earth organic compounds" In 1998, it was awarded the second prize of Jiangsu Science and technology progress. Since 1993, Professor Shen Qi has published more than 280 academic papers, and the research papers published in recent five years have been cited more than 200 times by SCI source journals. In 2002, Professor Shen Qi was invited to publish in J Organomet.Chem So far, the work of the research group with her as the chief expert has been further recognized by the international chemical community. In August 2006, Shen Qi applied for the project of "reactive chemistry of rare earth metal organic compounds", which was supported by the National Natural Science Foundation of China with a total amount of 1.5 million yuan, marking a new stage of her team's ability to undertake major projects. From October 19 to 23, 2006, the 14th National Symposium on organometallic chemistry, sponsored by the Chinese Chemical Society and chaired by Professor Shen Qi, was successfully held in Suzhou University. More than 300 representatives from more than 60 institutions of higher learning and scientific research institutes from the mainland, Hong Kong, the United States and Japan attended the conference. Eight academicians from the field of metal organic chemistry in China attended the conference. Experts and scholars attending the meeting highly praised Suzhou University and the research group headed by Professor Shen Qi for their outstanding achievements in the field of organometallic chemistry.
