Shen Shurong, male, born in September 1933 in Shanghai. He graduated from Beijing Institute of geology in 1953 and is now engaged in geology.
Biography of characters
He explored copper in Zhongtiaoshan in 1953, studied as a graduate student from 1954 to 1958, and later worked in the Bureau of hydrogeology and engineering geology of the Ministry of geology. The hydrogeological map of farmland water supply has made great contribution to the drought relief work of Hebei Province in 1960 and the work of the Geological Press in 1973. He served as deputy general manager in November 1983 and general manager of Geological Publishing House from December 1985 to June 1992. He resigned as general manager in June and was appointed as special editor. He retired in November 1993 and was appointed as special editor until the end of 1998.
Achievements and honors
He is the leader of geological books and has made great contribution to the prosperity of Geological Publishing. As a member of the editorial board and the final judge, "Splendid China" won the third National Excellent Book Award in 1989. Since October 1992, he has received special allowance from the State Council.
