Anhui Jianghuai Automobile Group Co., Ltd. (hereinafter referred to as Jiangqi group) is a comprehensive automobile enterprise group, which integrates the research, production and marketing of a full range of commercial vehicles, passenger vehicles and powertrain, and develops "advanced energy-saving vehicles, new energy vehicles, intelligent networked vehicles" simultaneously, covering automobile travel, financial services and many other fields. The group has formed four core sectors of vehicle business (passenger cars, commercial vehicles, buses, new energy), core parts, automobile travel and automobile service, and is committed to building a comprehensive automobile service platform of "whole ecological chain, whole industry chain and whole value chain".
Jiangqi group has a high-level R & D team of nearly 5000 people, adheres to the key technology R & D route of "energy saving, environmental protection, safety, intelligence, networking and comfort", and has formed a complete positive R & D system including R & D, test verification and calibration development of key parts such as vehicle, core powertrain, automatic transmission and software system. We have made a comprehensive breakthrough in energy saving and emission reduction technology, intelligent safety technology, noise technology, lightweight technology, new energy technology, manufacturing technology and other aspects, and continue to build the core competitiveness of the enterprise.
Historical evolution
Its predecessor is Hefei Jianghuai Automobile Factory, which was founded in 1964. It is a comprehensive automobile enterprise group integrating research, production and marketing of a full range of commercial vehicles, passenger vehicles and powertrain. It combines "advanced energy-saving vehicles, new energy vehicles, intelligent networked vehicles" and covers many fields such as automobile travel, financial services, etc. Since 2009, JAC has been awarded the "China heart" top ten engines with a total of 10 independently developed engines.
It was listed on Shanghai Stock Exchange in 2001 (Stock Code: 600418). Jac has five business segments: commercial vehicles, passenger cars, buses, parts and auto services.
In February 2018, after more than a year of preparation and several rounds of discussion and adjustment of equity incentive plan, JAC became the first state-owned holding listed company in Anhui Province to implement equity incentive plan. By implementing equity incentive to 354 core technical personnel of the company, it encouraged key employees to complete challenging performance indicators, so as to promote the rapid development of the company.
In 2018, JAC invested more than 2.1 billion yuan in R & D, with 2515 patent applications published annually, ranking second among global auto companies and first among independent brands; since the 18th CPC National Congress, JAC has invested 11.7 billion yuan in R & D.
In 2019, JAC's ninth generation technology and fourth generation series products will be released, showing the achievements of pure electric R & D of JAC new energy in the past 13 years; JAC will also join hands with Volkswagen, FAW Group and Xingxing charging to build a new intelligent charging infrastructure ecology; JAC's pure electric drive system will also win the "China heart" new energy vehicle power system selection technology innovation award .
In May 2020, Volkswagen Group (China), Anhui provincial state owned assets supervision and Administration Commission and Anhui Jianghuai Automobile Group Holding Co., Ltd. (hereinafter referred to as Jianghuai group) formally signed a cooperation agreement. Volkswagen will invest 1 billion euros to acquire 50% of the shares of Jianghuai group, the parent company of Jianghuai automobile, and increase its shareholding to 75%.
At the Chengdu auto show, which will open on July 24, 2020, JAC announced for the first time the brand-new model X8 with Sihao logo, which was previously hung with JAC logo. For this change, JAC did not make a specific explanation at that time. At the Beijing auto show, the brand new Sihao passenger car brand was officially released, and the former Jianghuai X8 also became Sihao X8.
On June 1, 2017, JAC and Volkswagen formally signed a joint venture agreement to jointly produce new energy vehicles.
On October 25, 2018, Anhui Jianghuai Automobile Group Co., Ltd. was selected as the national brand project of Xinhua news agency. On December 9, 2018, Anhui Jianghuai Automobile Group Co., Ltd. won the Fifth China Industrial award.
As of the end of August 2019, JAC has a total of 14142 authorized patents, becoming the first automobile enterprise in China to license more than 10000 invention patents.
As of October 2020, Jiangqi group has a total of 14940 authorized patents, becoming the first domestic automobile enterprise with more than 10000 patents. Since 2009, a total of 10 independently developed engines have been awarded the top 10 "China heart" engines. The key project of national 863 program, 6dct automatic transmission, realizes the independent development of TCU upper software and breaks the international monopoly.

The self-developed 6dct gearbox successfully passed the appraisal of the national "863" expert group in 2015, and its quality has reached the domestic leading and international advanced level. It is also the first wet dual clutch automatic gearbox of Chinese brand to be mass marketed.
On April 11, 2020, according to the March production and sales express released by JAC, JAC sold 34000 vehicles in March, a year-on-year decrease of 23.13%; in the first quarter of 2020, it sold 83000 vehicles, a year-on-year decrease of 35.53%. The sales volume of pure electric passenger cars decreased by 69.8% in March and by 67.18% in the first quarter.
On May 9, 2020, JAC motor released its April production and sales express. In April, JAC produced 46000 vehicles, a year-on-year increase of 22.42%, and sold 42700 vehicles, a year-on-year increase of 22.28%. From January to April, the cumulative output was 130000 vehicles, a year-on-year decrease of 22.24%; the cumulative sales volume was 126000 vehicles, a year-on-year decrease of 23.62%.
On May 29, 2020, Volkswagen Group (China), Anhui provincial state owned assets supervision and Administration Commission and JAC signed an agreement that Volkswagen will invest 1 billion euro to acquire 50% shares of JAC group, the parent company of JAC, and increase its shareholding of JAC Volkswagen, an electric vehicle joint venture, to 75% to obtain the management right of the joint venture. According to the agreement signed by JAC and VW, VW promises to award JAC VW 4-5 VW group brand products, and the production scale is expected to reach 200000-250000 vehicles / 350000-400000 vehicles by 2025 / 2029.
In June 2020, Jianghuai truck sales reached 26800 units, a year-on-year increase of 103%, an increase of 66.9 percentage points over the previous month, and the growth rate was nearly 40 percentage points higher than that of the industry. Among them, 21200 light goods vehicles were sold, with a month on month growth of 2.2% and a year-on-year growth of 132.6%. The growth rate of high-end brand shuailing and medium and high-end brand Junling exceeded 200%; the sales of heavy goods vehicles in the month was 4200, with a year-on-year growth of 21.7%. On the production side, the actual performance of 39300 vehicles increased by 28.22% year on year, showing the great strength after the resumption of production.
Social public welfare events
On December 28, 2018, the 2018 China social responsibility public welfare ceremony and the 11th China corporate social responsibility summit were held in Beijing. Jac won the outstanding enterprise award at the current China corporate social responsibility summit. "Hand in hand · auspicious wind action - let children not be alone" is a public welfare activity jointly planned by JAC and Anhui Radio and television station. Since 2013, it has been carried out to the sixth quarter, and has entered more than 20 primary schools, providing warmth and care for more than 7000 left behind children.
Novel coronavirus pneumonia was launched in January 29, 2020 by donations of 10 million yuan in cash donated by the Wuhan Red Cross Society. Wuhan is now in the process of preventing and controlling the new crown pneumonia. On February 9, JAC donated another 5 million yuan in cash to Anhui Provincial epidemic prevention and control emergency headquarters. The novel coronavirus pneumonia has brought severe challenges to the production and operation of automobile enterprises. In the face of the epidemic, on the one hand, JAC has strict prevention and control, on the other hand, JAC has actively resumed work and production, and promoted service upgrading. At the same time, JAC also took on the social responsibility of state-owned enterprises, donated 15 million yuan, and fully mobilized internal forces to support the fight against the epidemic.
