Ke Yue was born in a scholarly family. His son, Keyuan, was a famous scholar in 1123. Ke Jinde, his nephew, was a Jinshi in the second year of Jiatai reign of ningzong in the Southern Song Dynasty (1202). He was an official of Guishan County, Huizhou Prefecture, Guangdong Province. Ke Liyi, his nephew, was granted amnesty in the second year of Baoqing (1226) of LiZong in the Southern Song Dynasty. Wen Tuen was employed as a "ascender to the highest level".
