Yang Chengxi, another name Jianan Jushi, was born in Jiangxia (now Wuchang). Guangxu eight years (1882) Juren, in 1890 Jinshi, official to the Imperial Academy editing. After Ding you returned home, he was the head of Jianghan academy and the branch of Lianghu Academy.

In 1901, he took the post of alternate road in Sichuan Province. After the revolution of 1911, Ren liyuanhong took part in the deliberation. He has been the author of 30 volumes of the collection of poems of Yi'an. Hubei revises 172 volumes of Hubei Tongzhi, compiles 50 volumes of Hubei Qing Dynasty Wenzheng, revises Xiong Xiangmin's Sutra and Liaodong Shudu, and prints 10 volumes of Xiong Xiangmin's complete works.
