Yang Tianhui was born in 1053 and died in 1123 in Qixian County (now Santai, Sichuan Province) after his death.
He was quick and studious when he was young. He was familiar with Han Yu's and Ouyang Xiu's works. During the Yuanfeng period, he was a Jinshi. He once served as an academic officer of Qiongzhou, a county magistrate of Shuangliu, a county magistrate of Pengshan, a county magistrate of Shuangliu, and a county magistrate of Zhangming. With Huayang Zheng Shaowei, Longzhou Li Xin, known as the three heroes. In July of 1104, song Chongning was dismissed from his post because he was listed as a "Yuanyou clique" by shangshuyan, and later lived in Pixian. Yang Tianhui's works are quite abundant. There are 60 volumes of Yang Tianhui's collection and three volumes of the three kingdoms' personages in the history of the Song Dynasty. Unfortunately, most of them have been lost, only six poems, one Fu and thirty-two articles have been passed down to the present.
