Li Fu (1854-1929), also known as duanfang, was born in Qidong County, Hunan Province (now songmu village, Hongqiao Town). Huxiang culture celebrity.
Li Fu studied with his grandfather when he was young. At the age of 10, he was able to comment on ancient prose and write articles. At the age of 18, he was at the top of the list in the boy's exam. The next year, he set up a library at home to teach. He was paid to support his parents and taught his younger brothers. In 1887, Wang Kaiyun taught in Chuanshan academy, where he studied in Fu. He was highly valued by Wang and won the biography of Wang Gongyang School. Later, he studied in Pingzhou Academy. Guangxu 15 years (1889) to participate in the county test, to the first place to make up for Lin, and Xiangxiang lixisheng, Jiahe leixiling, known as "Hunan three talented.". Guangxu seventeen years (1891) to the provincial examination, because good at Gongyang School, was in the zhengkeju. In 1895, Kang Youwei and Liang Qichao advocated reform. Tan Sitong and Xiong Xiling set up Hunan society in Changsha to publicize reform theory. Because of his old-fashioned thinking, Li Fu thought that Kang Liang was "a scholar who will make chaos in the world". He went to Changsha to argue for justice and could not win. The library is set up at home to teach students three subjects: classics, history and CI. In addition to teaching, he was engaged in writing a number of volumes, such as Li Yan, the doctrine of the mean, the Analects of Confucius and Mencius' literary performance. After the founding of the Republic of China, he regarded himself as a relic of the Qing Dynasty, often depressed and dissolute. He majored in Qiyang County annals in 1920 and was published in 1931.
