Xinghu Lake is located in the north suburb of Zhaoqing City, 4 kilometers away, with a surface area of about 8000 mu, similar in size to the West Lake. The whole lake is divided into five lakes by meandering Lake Dyke: East Lake, Qinglian lake, Central Lake, Bohai lake and Lihu lake. Zhaoqing Xinghu scenic spot
Zhaoqing Star Lake scenic spot is located in Zhaoqing City, Guangdong Province. It is the first batch of key scenic spots, the first batch of national AAAA scenic spots, the top ten national civilized scenic tourism demonstration sites and ISO14000 national demonstration areas.
Zhaoqing Xinghu scenic spot is composed of Qixingyan and Dinghushan, with a total area of 20.61 square kilometers. The main scenic spots are ten sceneries of Tianxi, ten sceneries of Yunxi and Baoding garden.
Historical evolution
As early as the Tang Dynasty, following the creation of baiyun temple by Zen master Zhichang, Dinghu Mountain has become a tourist attraction. Up to now, there are many historic sites such as Longtan waterfall, Nirvana terrace, Sanwei lake, Shengseng bridge and Luohan city. Qingyun temple was designated as a famous temple in the south of the five ridges during the reign of emperor Shunzhi of the Qing Dynasty. During the reign of Emperor Kangxi of the Qing Dynasty, ten sceneries of Dinghu Lake were designated as the confrontation of lakes and mountains, Xiashui Chaozong, tiao'an Huancui, Xiaoxie Qufeng, Fangchi Yueyin, Qujing Yunfeng, Longtan waterfall, Fengling Shuzhong, Bodhi Huayu, Tayuan Xiangfeng, etc. During the reign of Emperor Guangxu, Qingyun temple was granted the plaque of "Wanshou Qingyun Temple", the Dragon Sutra and the picture of Sakyamuni's Yinghua deeds ". As a result, Qingyun temple was famous for a time. As many as 300 tourists came to visit the mountain every day, and as many as 600 pilgrims came to do merits and legalities. During the Anti Japanese War, pilgrims were still on the go.
In 1955, Guangdong Xinghu administrative committee was established. In 1957, Gu Dacun, vice governor of Guangdong Province, held three meetings of Xinghu administrative committee to study the protection and development of Xinghu scenic spot, and instructed to "establish a famous scenic spot at home and abroad".
In 1963, the Guangdong provincial government decided to open Dinghushan scenic spot to the outside world.
In 1979, Dinghushan was listed as a national natural scenic spot. In the same year, the Zhaoqing regional Revolutionary Committee issued the regulations on the administration of Dinghu Mountain scenic spot.
In 1981, Xinghu Management Office reassessed the scenic spots of Dinghu Mountain, which were divided into ten scenic spots of Tianxi and ten scenic spots of Yunxi.
In 1982, the State Council approved Dinghushan as the first batch of national key scenic spots.
In 1989, the Dinghushan Office of the Administration Bureau of Zhaoqing Xinghu scenic area was established, which is specially responsible for organizing and implementing the management, protection, planning and comprehensive development and utilization of the resources and facilities of Dinghushan scenic area. Through the efforts of the administrative departments at all levels, we have successively repaired the winding path of climbing, built Tianhu reservoir, Shuanghong moat, Guanxue Pavilion, Tingtao Pavilion, Guanyan Pavilion, Tingbao Pavilion, Rongrui stele Pavilion, Rongrui memorial hall, swimming pool, ticket office garden, garden terrace and forest ornaments in front of Qingyun temple, and restored Qingyun Temple (including Buddha statue), baiyun temple, yuelongtan, mianlv Pavilion and Banshan Pavilion As well as the ancient road, plank road.
In 1995, the national postal department issued special stamps with local themes in Guangdong, one of which is Dinghushan.

Qixingyan scenic spot
Qixingyan scenic spot is named because seven rock peaks stand like the Big Dipper. Qixingyan scenic area covers a total area of 8.23 square kilometers, with five lakes, six hills, seven rocks and eight caves. The lake covers an area of about 6.49 square kilometers, accounting for nearly 80% of the whole scenic area, larger than the West Lake in Hangzhou. The whole lake is divided into five lakes by meandering Lake Dyke: East Lake, Qinglian lake, Central Lake, Bohai lake and Lihu lake. The lake has a total length of more than 20 kilometers, with willows and phoenix trees in rows, just like several green belts floating on the clear water. There are seven steep limestone peaks scattered in the lake area, which are like the seven stars in the sky. Their names are langfengyan, yupingyan, shishiyan, tianzhuyan, Bufo, shizhangyan and apoyan. The light of the lake and the shadow of the mountains are enchanting. Dinghushan scenic spot
Dinghushan covers an area of 11.3 square kilometers. Together with Danxia Mountain, Luofu Mountain and Xiqiao Mountain, it is known as the four famous mountains in Lingnan. Dinghushan has two names: one is Dinghushan because there is a lake at the top of the mountain, the water is clear and it lasts for four hours; the other is that the middle peak of the mountain is round and beautiful, the two peaks are separated, and there are three peaks at the foot of the mountain. In addition, there is a lake at the top of the mountain, just like an inverted ancient tripod. It is said that the Yellow Emperor once cast a tripod here and soared by the dragon, so it is also called Dinghushan.
Dinghushan scenic area is mainly composed of Tianxi, Yunxi and Baoding garden. As early as the reign of Emperor Kangxi of the Qing Dynasty, Dinghushan scenic spot was divided into two parts, East and West. After liberation, after gradual development and cultivation, 20 scenes were formed. The east area is Tianxi Tianhu scenic spot, including Xiaoxie Qunfeng, Beiting Ningyi, Qujing Yunfeng, Qingyun Huancui, Longtan waterfall, Yougu benlei, Shuanghong feiqian, Yiyuan fragrance, overlooking Yanzhou, Tianhu exploration, etc.; the west area is Yunxi laoding scenic spot, including heting rest, Fuhu Tingquan, Hulu Miaoji, white goose playing in the water, holy water bathing Buddha, shuilian Dongtian, samadhi Yousheng, and Gutan Qianlong Dragon, Yuelong ancient temple, Baiyun nostalgia, etc. Dinghushan is also a Buddhist holy land.
Xiaoxie Qunfeng
Xiaoxie Qunfeng is the first scene to enter Dinghu Mountain along the mountain road. Located about 100 meters ahead of the Xiangjie bridge, there is a pavilion called "banshanting", which was built in the Shunzhi period of the Qing Dynasty. The pavilion is like Huiling in the front, Sanbao peak in the back, qinglongling on the left and fuhugang on the right. There is an ancient couplet in the pavilion: "only here can we go further. I hope you do not waste the journey." it means that visitors should not cherish their feet and fear the difficulties of the journey. After a short break, they should continue to move forward.
Friendship in stele Pavilion
Out of the mountain Pavilion, a few meters ahead of the Huancui bridge. At the beginning of the climbing curve, there is a Tang style building - Rongrui memorial tablet Pavilion. It was built in May 1979 to commemorate master Rong Rui, a Japanese monk studying in the Tang Dynasty. On the front of the monument is an inscription by Zhao Puchu, President of the Chinese Buddhist Association, and on the back is a praise of master Rongrui written by Zhao Puchu. In November of the same year, Rongrui Memorial pavilion was listed as a key cultural relic protection unit in Guangdong Province.
The winding path is covered with clouds
After Rongrui Memorial stele Pavilion, along the mountain climbing winding path, there is a Bushan Pavilion in the middle of the mountain road. In front of the pavilion, there is a "mandarin duck tree", and a pair of couplets on the pavilion columns, "there is no dust here, and there is a thousand green spots on the top". On the inner wall of the pavilion, there is a story of Bushan Pavilion in Qingyun Temple of Dinghu Mountain written by Wu Ke of Qing Dynasty. The weather here is changeable. Sometimes it is covered by clouds and fog. The rain is drizzling and the clouds are dispersing. The beautiful day is in the sky. Visitors feel like they are in a sea of clouds.
Fragrance of art garden
After climbing the mountain, you can see the big flower bed in front of Qingyun temple. Flowers bloom in the garden all the year round. Among them, two bodhi trees, one with red stamen and one with green stamen, were introduced from Sri Lanka. They have been more than 200 years old and are now flourishing. The Bodhi leaf bookmark made of its leaves is a special tourism product of Dinghu Mountain.
Qingyun Huancui
Qingyun temple is one of the four famous temples in Lingnan. The temple is built on the mountain, with seven levels and five halls. Each hall is majestic, resplendent and magnificent, and the Buddha statues are listed. There is an endless stream of worshippers and pilgrims every day.
