GUSHAN Island

GUSHAN island is the only island in Fuxian Lake. It is separated from Haimen Park in the South and Lianhua peak in Biyun temple in the north. Climbing to the top of the isolated mountain, you can overlook the beautiful scenery of Fuxian Lake.

Every year on the sixth day of the sixth month of the sixth lunar month, local people will go to Gushan to do temple fair, which will be a lively scene.

In the past, tourists could go to Gushan island by speedboat at Jiangchuan wharf. Since August 2004, in order to maintain the water quality of Fuxian Lake, all motor boats have been banned from operation. In this way, the journey to Gushan island is a little difficult for tourists. It is said that a water bike (20 yuan / hour) is popular in Fuxian Lake, which is cheap and environmentally friendly, but its disadvantage is that the riding distance can not be too long.
