The eternal sound
"Every sound comes from the heart, and the movement of the heart makes it natural. It's moving by feeling things, so it's shaped by sound. The traditional Chinese world outlook not only worships the nature that creates all things, but also attaches importance to people's inner experience. Music comes from people's perception of nature. There are five parts in the basic exhibition of "ancient music heritage" in China National Music Museum, namely "Hongshan ritual music", "ancient music heritage", "Kabuki music" and "GouLan Qianying". The exhibition starts from the ancient times and goes down to the Tang, song, yuan, Ming and Qing Dynasties. It presents the musical features of ancient China in various historical stages by presenting musical relics.
Beauty of Taihu Lake
Wuxi, located in the south of the Yangtze River, is known as the "Pearl of Taihu Lake". In this land with a long history, profound cultural heritage and beautiful landscape, the working people have created many colorful traditional folk music. During the Wei and Jin Dynasties, Wu songs in the south of the Yangtze River, Xianghe songs from the north and Xiqu songs from Jingchu were combined into Qing commercial music and gradually spread throughout the country. Since the Ming and Qing Dynasties, Wuxi folk music has been flourishing unprecedentedly. There are documents and historical traces in opera, folk songs, rap art and instrumental music performance. In modern times, Wuxi folk music activities have become more and more prosperous. Inheriting the classics and carrying forward the past, Wuxi is worthy of being the "hometown of folk music" in China. Here, the representative parts of Chen Zhan's folk music are selected, such as "Jiangnan Silk and bamboo", "Taoist music", "rap art" and so on.
Folk music
In a few short years from the end of the 19th century to the beginning of the 20th century, in Wuxi, which is not a vast land, several important figures in the history of modern Chinese music were born: music historian Yang Yinliu; folk musician Hua Yanjun; founder of modern Erhu art and folk music reformer Liu Tianhua; pioneer of music archaeology Liu Fu; and Wang Shen who wrote "singing the motherland". They have made outstanding contributions to Chinese music in their respective fields and are pioneers in the history of modern Chinese folk music. In the 20th century, Wuxi also gave birth to a large number of famous music performers and theorists, who devoted their life to the development of Chinese music. From them, we can see the strong vitality of Chinese folk music.
Millennium national style
In the millennium of national ethos, the selected folk music section of China's intangible cultural heritage displays the folk music part of China's Intangible Cultural Heritage Representative List of UNESCO, including nine kinds of music, including Kunqu Opera, Guqin art, Dong folk song, Fujian Nanyin, Xi'an drum music, Mongolian Long Tune folk song, Humai, Xinjiang Uygur Muqam art and Huaer music Project.
Group sound
China's 56 ethnic groups are distributed in the river, North and south. Most of them are good at singing and dancing. The unique and excellent folk music inherited by them is an indispensable part of Chinese national music culture. Some of Chen Zhan's national musical instruments are selected in this exhibition to show the splendor of China's national music and the prosperity of China's national music culture.
