Introduction to the memorial
Lianheng memorial hall is located in the agate temple in the West Lake Scenic Area of Hangzhou City, Zhejiang Province.
The agate temple is a famous ancient Buddhist temple in Hangzhou West Lake scenic area. It is built on the mountain, with pink walls and tiles, and is hidden in the lush ancient trees. The museum uses the original wing room of the agate temple as the exhibition space, which is divided into seven exhibition halls, namely the Taiwan natural environment hall, the historical and cultural hall, the Taiwan Aboriginal hall, the Lianya Hall Memorial Hall, the Taiwan chronicles hall, the traditional arts and crafts hall, and the modern arts and crafts hall.
In the spring of 1926, Lian Heng and Shen Shaoyun came to Hangzhou and settled down in the agate temple to study and collate literature and history materials. His son, Lian Zhendong, once lived here. In 2006, Lien Chan visited Hangzhou for the first time. He spoke highly of the architecture and environmental protection of the Manao temple, and put forward the idea of building the Manao temple into a platform for cross-strait cultural exchange.
