Fajing temple is located beside Lingyin Tianzhu Road, Xihu District, Hangzhou, with Feilai peak in the West and Yuegui peak in the East. It was renamed Fajing temple in Qianlong period of Qing Dynasty. In the 11th year of Xianfeng in the Qing Dynasty (1861), it was reduced to ashes in the flames of war, and rebuilt again in the 8th year of Guangxu (1882). Now it is the only Buddhist temple in West Lake. Before 1949, the temple was repaired for a long time, and most of the buildings were damaged. After 1950, some of the more complete buildings were transferred to the traditional Chinese medicine warehouse. It was converted into a factory around 1958. In 1982, the Hangzhou Buddhist Association organized the reconstruction. By the end of 1989, the three main halls on the central axis of the temple had been renovated, and all 49 Buddhist statues had been gilded. Among them, the Buddhist altar for pharmacists in the pharmacist hall is designed and molded according to the rules and regulations of the pharmacist Sutra. It has a unique shape and can be called the traditional Buddhist system, which is the only one in China. On October 20, 1989, the opening ceremony of pharmacist Buddha was solemnly held.
From Lingyin to Tianmen Mountain, there are dozens of miles around, which are collectively known as Tianzhu Mountain. From the place where you get off, you can go up the Tianzhu River, which is called Tianzhu fragrant city and Buddhist resort. You can see the sea in a low light, but you can see the mountains in a low light. When you visit Tianzhu Mountain, the most attractive thing is the beautiful scenery of the surrounding mountains. Along the road from Lingyin Hejian bridge, the mountain scenery is like a row of painted screens, the cliff is steep, the valley is deep, the Qujian is murmuring, the mountain haze and cloud shadow are sometimes drifting, which is very rich in mountain forest and wild interest. Fajing temple is a nun temple. Although the courtyard is not big, it also seems a little more elegant. Hangzhou is Hangzhou. I feel that nuns' practice here is very appropriate, which is more elegant and refined than other nun temples.
