Song Qingling cemetery is located on Songyuan road in Shanghai, not far from Xujiahui business district. It is the place where Song Qingling, the honorary president and mother of China, sleeps. The cemetery covers an area of about 12 hectares and consists of four parts: Memorial facilities, celebrity cemetery, foreigner cemetery and children's activity area.
The memorial facilities centered on the tomb of Soong Ching Ling are the main part of the cemetery. It mainly includes song's cemetery, memorial square, white marble statue displaying Song Qingling's unique temperament and style, Song Qingling Memorial inscribed by Deng Xiaoping and Song Qingling life story exhibition hall.
The exhibition line of the exhibition hall is 137 meters long, with more than 400 photos and more than 100 objects on display. It truly, vividly and panoramically shows Song Qingling's glorious journey from a patriotic youth pursuing truth to joining the revolution and finally becoming a great communist soldier. In addition, a celebrity cemetery has been set up in Song Qingling cemetery. The famous people's cemeteries include Ma Xiangbo, a patriotic old man, and Zhang Leping, the "father of Sanmao" of Anti Japanese hero Xie Jinyuan. Each tomb has a vivid memorial sculpture reflecting their life style. The foreigners' cemeteries include more than 600 foreigners from 25 countries around the world, including Lu Xun's Japanese friend, Mr. and Mrs. neishan Wanzao, and Song Qingling's American girlfriend, Geng Lishu.

The main entrance of Song Qingling cemetery is located in Songyuan Road, Changning District, Shanghai. It was built in January 1984, formerly known as Shanghai Wanguo cemetery. The children's museum is located in the southeast of Soong Ching Ling cemetery. It is composed of four parts: comprehensive building, Space Museum, navigation hall and ring screen movie hall. On both sides of the cemetery are the expatriate cemetery and celebrity cemetery of Wan Guo cemetery.
In 1982, the State Council announced the tomb of Song Qingling as the second batch of national key cultural relics protection units.
The evolution of song tombs
In the first half of 1918, the song Jiashu family bought a cemetery in Shanghai Wanguo cemetery.
In May 1918, Song Qingling's father, song Jiashu (song yaoru), was buried here after his death in Shanghai.
In July 1931, Song Qingling's mother Ni Guizhen died of illness.
In August 1932, six brothers and sisters of Soong Qingling built a joint Tomb of song Jiashu and Ni Guizhen, and erected a tombstone. At this time, song's cemetery covers an area of 22 caves, about 145 square meters.
In the summer of 1966, song's cemetery was destroyed. Zhou Enlai, after receiving a report from Shanghai, instructed that "this matter must be properly handled.".
In September 1967, according to Premier Zhou's instructions, Shanghai Civil Affairs Bureau restored the song tomb. After the cemetery was restored, the photos were sent to the central government, and Liao Mengxing handed them over to Song Qingling. After that, Song Qingling expressed satisfaction and gratitude for what Zhou Enlai had done for her during the difficult period.
On February 5, 1981, at the age of 16, she began to provide nanny service for Soong Ching Ling. Li yan'e, who had been living with Soong Ching Ling for more than 50 years, died in Beijing. Soong Ching Ling was very sad.
On April 2, 1981, the Shanghai Municipal People's Government buried Li yan'e's ashes in Song's cemetery on the entrustment of Song Qingling, and held a solemn burial ceremony. Song Qingling sent a wreath.
On May 29, 1981, Song Qingling died in Beijing at the age of 90. The Central Committee of the Communist Party of China, the Standing Committee of the National People's Congress and the State Council announced the holding of a state funeral.
On June 3, 1981, the national flag was flying at half mast to mourn. The memorial meeting of Soong Ching Ling was held in the Great Hall of the people in Beijing. Then Soong Ching Ling's ashes were airlifted to Shanghai by special plane.
On the morning of June 4, 1981, Song Qingling's funeral was held ceremoniously in Shanghai's Wanguo cemetery. According to Song Qingling's will, her ashes were buried in the east side of Wanguo cemetery where her parents were buried together.
Opening to the outside world
On July 1, 1981, the cemetery of Soong Ching Ling was opened to the public.
In September 1981, Shanghai Civil Affairs Bureau submitted the "plan for the construction of Comrade Song Qingling's cemetery" to the municipal government. According to the wishes of people from all walks of life, Shanghai leaders instructed that the cemetery should be built into "the cemetery of Comrade Song Qingling, honorary president of the people's Republic of China".
On February 23, 1982, the tomb of Song Qingling was approved by the State Council of the people's Republic of China as a national key cultural relics protection unit.
In June 1982, with the approval of the Central Committee of the Communist Party of China, the construction of the song tomb expansion project officially began.
In June 1983, the mausoleum of Soong Ching Ling was basically completed.
On January 10, 1984, the cemetery was officially named "Song Qingling cemetery, honorary president of the people's Republic of China" with the approval of the Central Committee of the Communist Party of China.
On January 27, 1984, a white marble statue of Soong Ching Ling was unveiled at the memorial square.
In May 1986, a memorial to Soong Ching Ling was built at the east end of Lingyuan Avenue. The inscription was inscribed by Deng Xiaoping.
History of scenic spots
In October 1909, the first year of Xuantong in the Qing Dynasty, Shangyu people in Zhejiang Province purchased more than 20 mu of land in Xixiang, Shanghai, through runshan to prepare for the construction of xieluyuan, which was completed in 1914. In the sixth year of the Republic of China, Wang Guozhen, jingrunshan's wife, bought 55.6 mu of land in the south of Hongqiao Road and zhanghongqiao, moved the original garden to the West and renamed it xieluyuan Wanguo cemetery.
Lu Xun was buried in Hongkou Park in 1956. In September 1934, the site was taken over by the Shanghai Municipal Health Bureau and renamed Shanghai Wanguo cemetery as a public cemetery. At the beginning of the cultural revolution, the cemetery of all nations was seriously damaged. In 1973, the Shanghai Municipal Civil Affairs Bureau recovered 30 mu of land including the song's cemetery and restored the Wanguo cemetery. In 1981, all the land was recovered from the cemetery.
Song Qingling died in Beijing on May 29, 1981, and was buried in Song's cemetery in June. In January 1984, the mausoleum of Song Qingling, honorary president of the people's Republic of China, was officially established. In February 1982, the tomb of Song Qingling was listed as a national key cultural relic protection unit by the State Council.
Ticket information
The scenic spot is free of charge, and the visitors need to get the tickets free of charge on the spot with their valid certificates on the same day, and queue up to visit in turn with the tickets. Senior citizens over the age of 70, the disabled, and soldiers in active service are given priority to enter the park. Group audience with more than 20 people must make an appointment three days in advance (until the quota is full). The park implements limited control on the flow of visitors, and the instantaneous flow of visitors does not exceed 2000 people. If the flow exceeds 2000 people, the ticket will be suspended.

Safety tips
1. Observe the visiting order and keep the cemetery solemn and quiet. No loud noise is allowed during the visit, and no entertainment and sports activities such as singing and playing ball games are allowed in the park;
2. We should take good care of cultural relics and exhibits, maintain public facilities, pay attention to cleanliness and health, and cherish flowers, plants and trees;
3. When visiting the indoor venues of Soong Ching Ling Memorial Hall and Shanghai Children's Museum, they consciously abide by the relevant regulations in the museum;
4. It is forbidden to bring inflammable and explosive articles into the park, and it is not allowed to throw cigarette ends and kindling;
5. It is forbidden to bring controlled instruments, toxic, corrosive, radioactive and other dangerous goods, articles liable to pollute the environment of the venue, pets and large articles (over 80cm × 60cm × 40cm) into the park;
6. Minors, the elderly and the disabled should be accompanied by guardians;
7. Those who are not well dressed, those who sell all kinds of small commodities, those who distribute advertisements, those who are drunk and those with mental illness are not allowed to enter the park;
8. It is strictly forbidden to engage in gambling, feudal superstition, assembly and other illegal and criminal activities such as disturbing public order, intentionally damaging cultural relics and public property in the park;
