The original Buddhist temple is called "Moyun Temple". Later, Jiangwei temple, Niuwang hall and Mawang hall were built. In front of the temple, there are the Ditan and well of Jiang Weishi's well. The well is 3 meters in diameter and 2 meters in depth. It has been raining for a long time and has not dried up for a long time. The color of water in the pool changes with the change of Jialing River. No matter how many people drink it, the original water level will always be maintained. It is said that in 263 A.D., Jiang Wei, the great general of the Shu Han Dynasty, stationed his troops in this mountain to protect the regime of the Shu Han Dynasty. The Duke of Zhuge gave Jiang weituomeng an altar to worship water, so Jiang Wei ordered to dig a pool, set up an altar, burn incense and paper money, and kneel down for three days. There was still no water in the pool. Jiang Wei was anxious. He sent two guards to inspect it and reported that there was no water. He was beheaded on the spot by Jiang Wei. He sent the third one, who was afraid of the risk of being beheaded and pretended to be true. He told the general, "there is only half a pool of water.". Jiang Wei was dubious and sent the fourth to xiangcha. The answer is: "there is half a pool of water.". At this time, Jiang Wei was overjoyed and said, "half a pool of water is enough.". Since then, the story of Jiang Wei's worship of water in Niutou mountain has been handed down to this day.
