Shaoqingshan site
Shaoqingshan site is located in the east of Qiandeng Town, Kunshan City, Jiangsu Province, on the side of Shangshu Pudong. In 1961, the cultural relics team of Jiangsu Province identified Shaoqing mountain and Shannan Dongnong as Neolithic sites.
1977. Stone tools and pottery were unearthed in 1983. In September 1984, due to the construction of a highway, 19 well-made jades were unearthed on the south slope of the mountain, which were identified as the funerary objects of Liangzhu Culture tomb, including jade Cong, Jade axe, jade bracelet, jade ring, jade pendant, etc. In the 12th year of the same year, with the assistance of the Archaeology Department of Suzhou Museum, a 2 × 10 meter trench was excavated, with five cultural layers. A tomb was unearthed on the fourth layer. The human skeleton was basically intact, with her body tilted up and her head to the south. She was identified as a middle-aged female by the human group of Shanghai nature museum. There were four pieces of funerary objects, including gray pottery beans, tripod, red pottery jar with sand and perforated stone knife. The tomb is from the late Songze culture to the early Liangzhu culture.
